Title: Hiring a car in Spain this year?
Post by: Varche on 06 June 2023, 13:05:41
Book your hire car as early as you can. There is a shortage of vehicles particularly Costa del Sol.

There is no let up in holiday bookings this year , unsurpringly .

More info here. https://www.surinenglish.com/malaga/costa-sol-car-hire-sector-faces-challenge-20230606123142-nt.html

Just an excuse to up the prices, my hire car is booked, and possibly going to cost more again than last year, reckon it'll be near €400,, which is about €200 less than the big players, there's lots of choices around Malaga if you look and shop around, but read the details closely, it's were they can sting you, the new con is Limited milage.

Tough times. A product of Covid, Putin and cost of living. We have noticed hotel prices have gone up here but come down a lot last minute.

You are right to watch the small print including the obligatory upsell insurance.

Car, CDW and no mileage limit from €42 with the company in Gran Canaria that I use. About €5 up from a couple of years ago, but they were struggling to get new cars delivered to the islands.

We get a pretty reasonable deal with Avis out and about.
