Hi, today the a/c compressor was changed because the old one was leaking. When it comes to starting it, surprise, it does not blow cold air. According to the pressures, they told me that it could be the expansion valve.
From what I've seen, this valve goes next to the evaporator, maybe? Because now comes the big problem, I can't remove the dashboard since the radio doesn't come out, I already opened a thread back in the day. Can you confirm that this is so? Or is there another alternative?

Does the compressor clutch actually engage? From memory there is a triangular plate on the front of the compressor - this will spin if the clutch is engaged (AC is on). It will be stationary if the clutch is disengaged (AC off). It ain't gonna work unless the clutch is engaged.
The expansion valve is basically a small oriface (hole) where the AC gas expands from a high pressure to a low pressure, getting (much) colder as it does so. The main fault with these is they get blocked if there is any debris in the system. Again from memory, yes its behind the dash on an Omega B.
But check and double check that the compressor clutch is engaging. Any number of things can stop this from happening. You need to make 1000% sure the triangular plate is actually spinning.

Well, unfortunately yes, the pulley turns and makes a noise when you engage the clutch. :-\

The clutch can be replaced separately to the compressor.

I had the same problem with my project omega last year. Exactly the same. I bought the car with non working ac. Replaced a/c compressor, a/c radiator, all the seals just to find out expansion valve was stuck due to residue/debris from previous ruined compressor.
Final solution was to take omega to ac specialist who washed entire system of debris, replaced compressor again and now the system works fine.
But it did cost me an arm and a leg :-X
