I'm surprised a nail in a tyre is only and advise. Would've expected a hard fail for that.

Testers discretion I believe. I think if the structure is OK and a repair can be made they might pass it, but a repair depends on where the nail is and the speed rating of the tyre if I remember correctly.

Tester put an advisory on the Zaf last year for a nail in the tyre. Although it was only a small brad it was in a place that wasn't repairable so I just put some leak stop in the tyre and left it. Unfortunately a few weeks later I got a 1 x 3" piece of steel  through the same tyre, so that proper finished it  ;D

Make that fortunately, you could have had a brand new tyre on there.

Tyre all good, tiny little point not causing any air loss and to my eye barely visible my MOT guy has eyes like a hawk !  But that's great to know.
