The golf has a variety of intake air leaks flagged. Google sent me to the PCV valve, which is indeed broken (the diaphram).
Anyone been here before?
You can get replacement diaphram kits like these

Starting to think the same. All Chinese. Can get a whole unit for a little over double. And not much more again for something more reputable.

Those aren't big enough savings to attempt to repair a common part made of plastic. Although you might have nothing better to do with the time ::)

I've done astra ones before (part of the rocker cover ,so worth doing for me)
"Economy Delivery (Other courier (3 to 5 days)" on ebay listings usually involves waiting 6 to 10 days or more :-X
