Just tested positive for TCV >:(
Felt a bit stuffy when I woke up yesterday, but just had two nights in French France and put it down to the crappy aircon in the room. Felt right enough to work.
Woke up this morning streaming nose, no sense of smell, a slight cough and a bit of a headache. Figured a test might be in order and sure enough, straight to positive.
Just finished 10 flights in six days and slept in three countries so could have picked it up anywhere :-\

I wouldn't have bothered testing. What's the point, it's only a sniffle ::)
-
I've only ever had one covid test throughout the 'pandemic' and that was because i had to, to have my cardioversion in hospital. So don't know if i've ever had 'it'. My granddaughter has had it five times. :o She is a teacher though.

Me neither. We never tested for cold/flu before. Had a streaming nose/cough a couple of weeks ago and it's all gone now. :y
-
Only tested once when I felt slightly under the weather....and yes I had the Chinese sniffle.
A wet fart is probably more dangerous.

Yup, just a sniffle. Testing was as much a courtesy to the people I was working with the last three days as anything.

To my knowledge, only had the Chinky Sniffle once. But bugger me, I was knocked for 6 for 2 or 3 weeks. Still, took my mind of the Shingles I had at the same time ;D

Ime day three is effing nasty. A few days either side of that its bearable.
-
I unfortunatly went down with the chinky flu in the middle of my hols in The Maldives last year
That made the second week miserable

Was day 2 last time, but will let you know on Sunday...
-
Had it at least three times here. First time mild second was pretty ghastly for a couple of days. Two weeks ago we both had a different variant. Just whacked each day.
Spanish make me laugh. They greet you with higs and then say “ I have been bad with ….. but I am alright now” Schools have just gone back so it will be rife.

Just been for a flu jab and got a bonus Covid jab while I was there.

How many have you had?
I had 2 very early on when the general view (pushed by the government) was that covid was dangerous.
No we know better. No more jabs for me.

The reason it is less dangerous is because we've been poked in the arm a few times....
...though hopefully if the GB News fraternity carry on thinking that its a good idea not to have further jabs, that has to be good news, as sort of like a self inflicted cull... ...only it'd only leave true lefties behind, as GB News occupies that just-left-of-centre ground...

Fortunately, this round coincided with a week of annual leave, and whilst it made for a pretty shitty birthday, it has meant no actual time off work this far.
No intention of getting another jab either for batflu or manflu... the manflu one is guaranteed to give me full blown manflu, and as we all know that's fatal, there's not much point. Batflu immunity should now be up to scratch, so again no point.
Headache, no sense of smell and slight temperature fluctuations are the only remaining symptoms of Batflu, so fingers crossed I should be back up and about by Monday.

I've had about 10 I think ;D
A jab in the arm, or sitting about feeling like shite while telling everyone it's only a sniffle. I chose the jab.

Sounds familiar.
I've felt worse after supping a bad pint. ;D

The flu jab can't give you flu, it's not a live vaccine. But you know that already.

The antibiotics I have for sinus infections put me in bed for a week... so three/four days in bed for TCV is not unreasonable.

Must be a random coincidence that every time I have had a flu jab, I have had the flu ::)

A lot more unreasonable than a quick jab in the arm ;D
But hey ho, it's your choice. Well......it's not, actually, but it is my choice.

I had a flu jab every year from 11 to 18 and had the flu every winter. Not had one since, and to the best of my knowledge never had the flu since. ???

You’ll be hard pressed to get me to have another covid jab. I’ve had three I will definitely not have anymore…. Watch this space

A cold doesn't put you into bed for a week.
