Back in mid June i was involved in an accident. how it happenedon on a large roundabout that has 3 entries & as many exits i had just gone through a green light but after about 20mtrs i had to stop because of a big horsebox that i presume was heading for york races. the horsebox was trying to switch lanes . a car coming up a southbound ramp managed to get thruogh the gap between my car & the horsbox but a van that followed caught my frontend & totalled my car. i was deemed to be in fault simply because the position i was in & he had a green light. also because of the positionn of both vehicles the police had to arrange removal. on his report he recommended no further action to be taken. good news I was paid out within a week.
however last saturday i got papers from the other party,s solicitor wanting £,8500 . naturally i phoned them & was told its because Aviva had not settled the claim from the other party. it took me over 5 hours to speaak to the right department at Aviva ( claim fulfillment team ). aviva have asked me to send them the court papers so they can deal with it ,

This is why dash cams are essential these days ,
If you don't & didn't agree with the insurer's decision (putting you at blame) you should have argued your case at the time :-X
if you where stationary ,even half way round an island ,and someone hits you ,they are to blame

A green light doesn't give you automatic right of way....
