Title: Fault code
Post by: Omega Nige on 24 October 2023, 19:44:21
Hi all, my 3.2 won't start again, not long since I replaced the crank sensor. It's now come up with the code P1792 ECM communication malfunction. Any ideas? Thanks 😊

Just checked nope, and no lights on the dash. Im going to disconnect the battery and see if that resets it. Im a member of the AA so I can call them out and see if they can see the fault in there kit. keep you posted. :y

So if nothing in the ABS or TCM, you need to look at live data for sensors directly connected to the ECM, such as throttle, MAF, coolant temp and so on.

Check all the earths, especially the "soldered" ones in the loom.. Dr-G might be a long soon and be more accurate were they are.
