Title: Apple iCrap
Post by: STEMO on 06 November 2023, 11:51:45
Just dug an old Apple Watch out of a drawer and decided to see if it still works. As people who own apple products know, the first thing they do when you start charging is to boot up. The little apple logo appears and, when it's properly booted up, it will start charging.
The logo comes up on the watch, but the battery is so flat that it runs out of charge in about five seconds and switches off. Then the battery gets enough to try and boot up again, but runs out of charge and switches off. So, the fickin thing is sitting there with the apple logo coming on, going off, coming on.......
Other devices just charge and then you turn them on. Grrrrrr..... ;D

I'm sure those nice people at the local crApple franchise will put in a new battery for about £15m, but only if you book an appointment to drop the device off ;D

I just assume these vaguaries ( is that even a word?) come as standard with all things electronic.

Internet routers, ups’s fit bits,  Nothing ever seems to work properly all of the time.
