If they are using a phone or not wearing a seat belt I personally don't have any pity for them, as for speeding I've been caught twice paid the fine & done the awareness courses & hopefully the bastards will never get another penny from me , do my damnedest to stick to the limits & if anyone wants to pass me crack on.

So when they have caught all the offenders and the roads are empty, Tax, Vat and fuel duties will be down, more people out of work.
Or maybe people will jump in the back of thier hybrid, plan a journry on google maps snd then tell Alexa to be at work by 8:45
Then the lawyers will have found a loophole in the law in the 2030s saying the car is the legal driver and the owner is legal to travel as a passenger without anyone behind the wheel.
Backdated claims will cost the Gov £Billions :-X
Meanwhile Sthil saw sales have broken all records in South Yorkshire. ::)

Down Under, the police use spotter planes, helicopters and probably drones these days to catch speeders on the main highway that crosses the Nullabor Desert between Adelaide and Perth.
There is literally nothing there, apart from the odd roadhouse and remains of kangaroos splatted by road trains. ::)
Otherwise it's a great place to road test your car though, because as well as the famous 90 mile straight there are numerous 80, 85, and 89 mile straights! >:D
-
On the rare occasions I do stick religiously to the limit, there's always an angry queue behind. People are used to driving 5-8mph over the limit, and it really pisses them off when others don't.

Go to Wales, stick to the 20mph limit and see how you get on! ;D

In the US trucks generally keep up with the traffic... ie 70-85mph :o

I'm quite happy sticking to the limits , the ones that pass me are usually tiny little things revving their nuts off, I'm quite happy in the knowledge that if I wanted to leave them standing I could.

Having been recently, you struggle to see 20 in a 20 and seem to constantly be close to 20 even in a 30 or higher ???

.
Sounds like they despise paying fines like me , good on them motorists are now simply cashcows to departments that can't manage their finances.

Maybe we should all go around at 5mph max I wonder what the pricks would make of that?

I don't think mine would idle at 5mph >:D

What do you do when travelling in traffic at 5mph then?
-
Ride the brakes

Ride the brakes
Then that's what you'd do in a 5mph protest, just as I would.
-
It can take over two hours to get home at the moment without adding to the frustration.
Go slow protests only serve to piss people off and the powers that be use it as a justification to further reduce limits.

Probably, but what's that got to do with anything? ;D

These seem to stop them working, and work against ulez camera too.
-
They put these cameras up on part of my commute about 9 months ago (rural A road, nobody to upset or maim, but "popular with bikers"). >:(
So, all this time, I've been a good buy along there. About 2 weeks ago I noticed the infra-red lights half way up the poles have now been turned on. Guessing they didn't have power until just now. ;D

Shit, all that potential speeding time wasted 🤣🤣
