Title: GM 9129570 with Norma Clip
Post by: polilara on 23 November 2023, 15:50:34
Succeeded to destroy the Norma Clip of the longer hose going to heater matrix while installing it after pooling (2001 V6). So, what is official repairing method, mormal jubilee clip is difficult to screw there, original seem to be rare spare. Are thos clips available with any hose to construct it by myself?

Not sure what a Norma Clip is?  If its the bit on the end of the hoses going to the cabin heater matrix then you probably need the entire hose.

Appears to be a German based hose clip company and they look like jubilee clips.  :D

Do you mean a spring host clamp that looks like this? (https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/304783468431?var=603803138579).

Nope, got their website up and pics of posh jubilee clips came up.  ;D There may have been some spring clips on there but was only satisfying my curiosity.
Too much time on my hands, as all you other buggers out working to help pay for my pension.  :D

Thanks for replies and sorry for my late response, been busy today (at work, (do you believe me?)).

Above some pictures of the "Clip" I am talking about, same one seen in the link below (NORMA also there).

https://www.omegaowners.com/forum/index.php?topic=90557.0

So, the clip is broken, I need the complete hose, yes, but not available anymore. I just would like to find some spare clip to join a rubber hose to it as seen in the link. I did not find a supplier for this.

Any ideas how to go on? So strange place to put any Jubilee there when LH driven car.

Access is no different on a rhd one.

A good second hand hose is a viable option as is cutting a length of new hose of a suitable diameter and a jubilee clip (norma or otherwise) :y

Is there a GM part number and/or an Opel KAT number on the hose?
And does your car have the cold weather package?
Just trying to work out if your hose is the same as the standard model.

How is your connector broken? Last one I tried the collar was very difficult to move until I thoroughly cleaned it. If it's just the green locking ring then I understand that can be omitted?

I checked up what that green ring clip is for and it's only used at manufacture apparently, not sure if you need to use it when refitting but i didn't. I remember seeing them lying loose on the metal pipe just after the hose clip thinking something was not fitted correctly. I think it's just to hold the snap clip open so they can be installed and then they pop off or something.

Is it the hose from the matrix to auxiliary water pump or the other one that goes to the back of the block? I managed to source a new one of the longer pipe as I'd broke the clip. I think the number is 9129570

No. 5 here:

https://opel.catalogs-parts.com/#{client:1;page:part;lang:ru;category:car;catalog:v94;group:f;groupsub:0;subgroup:13-1}#5 (https://opel.catalogs-parts.com/#{client:1;page:part;lang:ru;category:car;catalog:v94;group:f;groupsub:0;subgroup:13-1}#5)

On the same diagram, I think pipes 6 & 7 are the other matrix pipe, 6 being the non-AC pipe and 7 being the one with A/C.

And remember to give it a firm tug to ensure it's fully latched. :D

Job Jobbed, second hand part found, thanks for all. Just some comments:

It was GM 9129570 as proposed by grifter, the number was printed to the hose, hose coming from matrix to aux pump. I think this car has Winter Package. I broke the clip when trying to install it back, the white part did not move when plug pushed to its position so I took it avay and tried to bend the plastic bits to see what is the problem, they broke etc. The second hand one went to its place and "click" it was there. Perhaps my old NORMA was not ok anymore. I do not know what the green rings are for I never used them after taking off the hoses. I have plenty of them in my table. If they aid as TB said I have to test it next time.

I tried to understand the mechanism, the white part does not move untill the connector is in the right position, the collar in the aluminium matrix pipe opens slightly those white "aisles" and allows then the movement forward (back if thinking the car direction).
