A few months ago, Three decided in their wisdom to "upgrade" their My3 website/App.
This means that every customer has to register their phone number with an email address. I have three phones (self, wife, daughter) which all used to be registered to my own email address.
A few weeks ago, I needed to adjust my daughter's phone package, so I had to go through the registration process with her number and I used my email address.
Today I decided to amend my own package, so I went to My3 and popped in my number. Said it was already used. Turns out each phone needs a different email address. I have a spare, so I tried to register with that – only to find that it could not be accepted as it needs the original email associated with my phone and, of course that is registered with my daughter's phone.
No chance of speaking to a human, of course and, it seems from the 3 Community forum that I am not alone in being thoroughly disappointed with the company and likely to leave (my contract is up anyway).
Why can't companies act in their customers' best interests instead of just pi**ing them off? Are they that arrogant/stupid? >:( >:(

I'm sure the new setup is agile and transformative. Nobody ever bothered considering if it actually works. Welcome to the world of Agile.

Precisely.

I tried to check my account the other day and couldn't register either. :-\
Same email, same number. ::)

I've been with them for around 15/16/17 years. I can log on with my finger print ok. I don't really need to log on, though, £10 for 8Gb, unlimited minutes and texts. What's to see? ;D

My deal is so old, I think I still have the free international roaming that they used to do, and that's why I tried to log in to my account to see if this is the case. :-\

Likewise, although I have to ring them every time they send me a bill to get the roaming charges removed.
I don't object to £25 a month for unlimited everything as I do somewhat rip the living piss out of the roaming :D

If your plan started on or after 1 October 2021, you can unlock your data allowances – and call and text the UK and other Go Roam in Europe destinations – for a daily roaming charge. For Pay Monthly customers, roaming costs £2 a day in Europe and £5 a day in Go Roam Around the World destinations. Republic of Ireland and Isle of Man are excluded from the daily roaming charge.

My contract predates that by at least 5 years 8)
Doesn't stop them sending me the stupid text every time I land ::)

Yep, I have the same, only keep them because of the worldwide roaming, service is shit though, I have to use wifi calling to be able to use the phone at home.
Just spotted O2 black friday deal of Unlimited calls and text, 150gb data and worldwide roaming for £17.99. Just switched so hopefully this will work out better. And I get Visual Voicemail

I didn't switch to O2 because their in-store staff at my local branch were a bunch of total cockwombles.

That's true of every phone shop! can't imagine why anyone would need to go into one though :-\

We get a corporate discount with O2 which requires submitting proff of employment/company ID etc... No way on this planet that's being done remotely.

Its not like you live in a big city though....
...oh, hang on a minute ;D
I do use prepay Three when going outside the EU, for the roaming. But agree in the UK, the service is mostly unusable.

My 3 mobile number was a joke a while back but seems to have settled the last month or so, still not 100% stable but got 4 months free billing so have kept it for a while longer.
Also tried the 1p mobile that suggested by Jimboy - tiss ok but no better than any of the others at times.
I have taken on an Asda number thats not to bad.
Also have a Plusnet number that they want me to change over to EE
I also tried a Talkmoble sim and so far am impressed with it.
3 mobile £6
Plusnet £6
Talkmobile £3.95 (love the number they gave me)
Asda £4
1p mobile £10 every 1/4
1st 4 are all unlimited/unlimted with 4GB data apart ftom Asda with 1GB and depending which area I pass through depends on which number I can get reception on. :-X
2 of my phones are dual sim so only ever go out with the 2 phones
