....two million cars in the States due to auto pilot issues. Anyone else think that auto pilot is a bad idea? It's bad enough now with the standard of some driving.

That won't be cheap.
Luckily Elon isn't short of a bob (billion) or two.

It's an OTA firmware upgrade, so probably not too expensive in the scheme of things.

Watched one drive through a big and deep "puddle" the other day, didnt see any sparks in my mirror!!

Its not really a story TBH... ...although they have form for shagging ECUs when doing updates.
They have done several "recalls" over their Autopilot software, mostly to show the American authorities that they pretend to take the issues with it seriously.

I'm not surprised, don't like them been in one very quick but wouldn't want one as a gift.

My 15 year old Ford Mondeo has been recalled for an airbag issue. :)
