Title: Eco Pro mode.
Post by: Field Marshal Dr. Opti on 05 May 2024, 13:07:18
It shows what can be achieved with a light right foot, although it is boring.

In Eco Pro mode the throttle response is laggy and kickdown reluctant.

I also think it cuts back on the output of the AC system.

I use it quite a bit in London to allow better coasting, in my N55 powered 435i.

Does help quite a bit on fuel use, although as you mention the throttle feels like a sponge!

Been there, done that. Then wondered why I bought a sports saloon if I'm going to drive it like it's a Toyota Pious. ;)

Oh it comes right off, when progress is allowed. I especially like A30 launch towards the M25 away from Staines. But often there is no space, so Eco mode it is.

It goes on now down the Great West Road, as they've recently reduced the limit to 30mph  >:(

Agreed.

27 miles  is more than enough and it will never be used again.  >:D

It's worse than owning a diesel car. ;D

Never use it on my 530d, didn't buy a 3L to use it in eco Pro mode!
