Got a mot failure regarding leaking from cam cover gaskets. According to the local Opel dealer here in Norway they now only come with cam covers. The gasket alone is no longer available. The price for covers with gaskets was around 7.000,- nok or 520 gbp. Are aftermarket gaskets the only viable option now?

If your dealer wont supply them separately, then yes. But call another dealer, as we used to get that bullshit from UK dealers as well.
If not, it'll have to be pattern, but most seem to be quite hard, and tend to fail earlier.

I've been buying Vauxhall parts from LSC for years

All the sets I bought from VX dealer were Victor Reinz branded in GM packaging. Set 15-34268-02 still readily available for very reasonable cost.

Found Norwegian supplier of reinz gaskets. Around 20£ pr side. Same partnumber as mentioned here. So are going with those :)
