Scam, as far as I am aware the Tax Office never rings anyone.

Not had one for many years now, but as said previously the tax office wouldn't contact you by phone.

No it can't be HMRC as they are all busy tending their allotments/walking the dog etc working from home.  :)

That’s hilarious.  ;D ;D  I feel I’m missing out by never getting these type of calls.  ::)  Is this on your landline or mobile?  Not many in our family have a landline now and our mobile phones just receive a text saying ‘suspected spam call blocked’.  :y

Yes we got rid of our landline about 2 months ago, too many Indian men calling  & telling us about problems on our computer ( we don't have one incidentally) they seemed offended when I told them what they could do with their advice

I had "a call from HMRC" last week, after not having had one for a couple of years.
Inhung up before they mentioned being arrested.   :)

I had one a few months ago stating that I had a tax rebate of £8000! Just send your bank details to "us" and we will pay in your rebate to your chosen bank account!
Thats funny I thought!  ::) I have not worked nor paid tax in the UK since 1988!
"f*ck off" I uttered, and he did.. >:( >:( Result! Forget it raywilb.  :y
