First Leeds and now Manchester. ::)

They're offended when a cop puts the boot in 😂😂😂

That'll teach him not to punch a woman in the snout. ;D

Selective footage, me thinks.
The cops need to show bodycam from a few minutes before if they don't want to see Rochdale looted and torched. :-X

Would anybody notice?

Kicking someone in the head when they're on the floor is totally unnecessary regardless of what they might have done.

Thing is, Al......
These people are armed response on high alert, reacting to an emergency call for help, so the alternative could mean a bullet to the head in the heat of the moment.

There's no place for such a blatant lack of self control in an armed response unit.
I have no issue with direct and definite actions, and had he knelt on his 'shoulder' to subdued him that would have been reasonable but that's not what happened... He deliberately stepped in and kicked the bloke in the head after he was cuffed and on the floor.
Watching some of the extended footage afterwards, the family present were being picked up by one of those arrested.
-
We don't know for sure what really happened in the run up to the bloke getting kicked in the head, although we do know that three female Police Officers were hospitalised, one with a broken nose. I've heard three different stories so far. ::)
1) It was a minor altercation in the car park, but when the Police turned up to sort it out they turned on them. This is the official line I think?
2) The 2 men on the floor were wanted for serious crimes (murder!) and were attempting to leave the country.
3) The 2 men kicked off when airport security wanted to search the older woman and security called in the Police and then it really kicked off!
I think that we can discount 2, as the 2 men have been released. Maybe on bail though?
The details are a bit scant to be honest, and it's funny that no videos of whatever caused the Police to get involved have emerged. :-\

In the good old USA, they shoot women at the kitchen sink ;D
-
2 and 3 are red herrings.
The body cam footage won't be released until any formal charges are heard or any investigations are completed.
As to the available footage, people tend not to record until something interesting starts happening.

Only in the Land of Corruption and Rust ;)

I would have thought that 2 blokes beating up 3 female Police Officers would be interesting enough. :-X

It is, but it is also 'racially sensitive' so will probably be swept under the carpet so as not to inflame certain members of our wonderfully diverse society. ::)

I have no problem with what the copper done if the guy had broken his female partners nose maybe a bullet would have been better? I don’t want our police attacked by any criminals it will make our country far more unsafe. Just because you’re from another culture/creed doesn’t exclude you from the laws of your country of residence, there was a big protest outside the police station too apparently, no such protests and troublemaking from the family and friends of the poor soldier that was stabbed recently by another one of them. There, not one curse word👍😁

Er....thats not a very progressive attitude. Certain people think we should make allowances. ;D

Welcome to the brave new world.
I am not advocating their behaviour in any way, shape or form, just that a police officer kicking someone in the head whilst cuffed and on the floor is not something that can be condoned any more than the behaviour that might have led to it.
-
It may surprise you, but I agree.
Proportionate force if needed. Retaliation and revenge arent allowed.
Police are subject to the law like anyone else.
And doing it in a public place where you can be pretty certain someone will film you doing it, shows a high degree of stupidity.

Let's turn that around...
Say you punched a female colleague in the face and I had you cuffed and on the floor. Then Stemo came along and kicked you in the head.
Would you still be happy to have been kicked in the head or would you prefer to have been shot in the face?
Self defence stops once the suspect is restrained.
Even in a pub brawl, kicking in the head once they're out on the floor is a bit out of order.

.
No training manual recommends a kick to the head, it didn't appear to be a life or death situation where anything would have been appropriate,so the cop will have to face the consequences of his actions, unfortunately the type of people who protested last night cannot be described as being from a civilised culture , their sort are only out to cause disorder.

I wouldn't mind betting the same people who took this footage also took footage of the lead-up, but it is not in their desire to publicise that...

I concur. They were armed police, yet they didn't shoot. No wonder one was suspended, he'd be no good during the cull when I'm PM.

Absolutely spot on , their sort play the race card on the street & when in prison, the cop just let his emotions take over unfortunately it happens always has always will. I just hope the heathens involved don't get a massive payout. My personal feelings are that I hope it really hurt the male who was resisting arrest, but from the footage it appears just to be a glancing blow.

His lawyer is claiming that he has a cyst on the brain, so no doubt he will get a big payday, and sadly for the cop, he will get thrown under the bus and hung out to dry for his momentary lapse of reason. :(

And rightly so.

Damn shame , any wonder the UK is down the drain.

See the BLM is at it again now💁🏿♂️ the cop lost his head momentarily and went over the top personally I would rather see that than the copper kicked in the head. This was a serious assault on three uniformed officers, about time you decided who’s side you’re really on instead of encouraging these evil unevolved monsters

Apparently the injured party has now developed a "brain cyst" as a result of this incident , be prepared for much milking of this >:(

See should have shot him after all

He's as much got a" brain cyst" as I have a boil on my arse. 😂

The lad must have had something wrong with his brain all along to do something to attract that sort of attention from the Police. ::)
Nothing much wrong with the NHS in Rochdale either to get examined, scanned and diagnosed so quickly! :y

Yep they’re fast tracked💁🏿♂️

Perhaps the cop managed to separate it from his brain, good intentions unappreciated..😂

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13674959/Manchester-Airport-family-lawyer-protests-police.html
Ignoring the lawyer for a moment, this goes someway to offering an explanation of what started the whole thing.
However for there to be absolutely zero footage is clearly BS as the airport will have as many CCTV cameras in operation an ULEZ and there's no way on this planet that the police officers weren't wearing body cameras.
And whilst it would take time to identify and obtain statements from the crew on the flight, arguments between passengers are still rare enough to stand out.
As for the lawyer, he's clearly a malignant piece of self interested work :-X

I saw an interview with him yesterday, and it was all "we want", be that justice, compo, whatever. Supposedly representing the mother, I would expect him to be using "my client wants".
But in that culture, women aren't allowed a view, and have to be subservient to men. So its really what the lawyer wants - fame and a shit load of money.
The truth is probably considered irrelevant.
-
I saw a claim on X that that lad who got his head kicked in had made a grab for one of the officers firearm during the earlier altercation where the female officers were injured and which strangely no video footage seems to exist. :-\
Rumours... Counter rumours... ::)

Apparently Andy Burnham has seen ALL the video footage and it isn't very clear cut... So that's alright then.

He's another odious Leftie excuse for a Mayor. I wouldn't be surprised if he goes on weekend breaks with his mate from Lundun.

Looking at it through that perspective only makes it worse. And kicking someone in the head has probably tipped the balance even further away.
And shit like this really doesn't help...

Trouble is we’re being played, everything we do wrong is amplified whereas when cases such as let’s say the soldier stabbing for instance is hardly news now just a few days later Anderson is a decent guy I think but does find it hard to contain himself when these cases arise, ok for us but in his position he must show restraint

What's to report in Kent?
The soldier is critical, but stable and the attacker is in custody awaiting trial. If the soldier recovers, hopefully, then the attacker gets tried for attempted murder, and if he dies then murder gets added to the list. But that's now a matter for the actual courts, not the kangaroo ones ;)
-
That’s my point, there are no protests, threats of arson, attacking police etc. directly the opposite of what’s going on with the other incident at the airport, can’t you see that? Different people acting differently👍
-
Here's the footage we've been waiting for.

-
That looks fair enough to me should have done more
-
To say that escalated quickly is an understatement :o
Absolutely no excuse for any of that and it certainly opens up the definition of reasonable force although it looks like the two suspects were anticipating something because they were already two steps ahead of the officers. There will be a few lessons learned from that. And it also raises questions about what happened before and whether there had been an assessment of the situation before piling in because that looked like they walked straight into a trap.
However, it doesn't justify kicking the bloke in the head when he's on the floor having just been tazed. Although part of the whole incident, they should be facing battery and resisting charges, whilst the officer who kicked the bloke on the floor should be held accountable for that action as a separate item.
Perhaps the shoot first apologise later approach is the future.
-
Maybe… because sometimes you won’t get the chance to apologise if you’re killed first.
-
Yes I wonder what happened before that, because that looked as though the police tracked these fellas down to the car park.
Some say that airport security wanted to search the mother and these blokes, her sons kicked off about it. Although, that doesn't really make sense as apparently she'd arrived from Pakistan and they were there to meet her, so if she was searched it would have been by Customs in the Customs area. Unless she was searched by Customs and when she emerged into the arrivals hall, she told her sons about it and they then kicked off? Maybe went through the Arrivals door into the Customs area? Obviously a big No-No! ::)
I've also seen pictures of the Mother with a black eye, which the usual suspects have blamed on the police, but you can clearly see in the vid, her other son dropping her with an elbow to the face as he draws back to punch one of the coppers! :o ::) ;D
-
I’m with the cops I don’t blame them at all for that especially after watching the new footage I’m afraid I’d have probably done worse (rightfully or wrongly).
-

Got to say that I agree , if you want to attack Police expect the consequences these people have no respect for our laws & cultures I've dealt with them first hand when I was working in HMPS . There's a very good chance that the cop will lose his job & the scum involved will get a payout.I sincerely hope that there is a fund started for the officer, I for one will definitely donate to it. I hate to see what is happening to our country.
-
It seems that Greater Manchester Police have realised that they are not going to get away with throwing their officer under the bus and sweeping the rest under the carpet. :-X

Yep.
-
Third word criminals deserve third word policing, simple as that.
-
Unfortunately, media circus focus on the head kick making everything else almost irrelevant. An unintended consequence of his action, but one the officer concerned will have to live with.
And what is perhaps a more damning reflection of society nowadays is that people were continuing to walk through all that to get their parking tickets paid with no one stepping in to help.
-

These scum deserve nothing but get everything handed to them on a plate . Talking today to a retired copper in Spain & I loved his comment " Armed officers are trained to keep their hands free so they always have access to their firearms so the boot is fair in my eyes" 😂
-
In all fairness that’s a valid point
