WE are currently without any political opposition. Little Rishi seems to have gone AWOL and the inept and incompetent Ed Davey appears to be as quiet as a Church mouse.
Can't the beaten and broken Tory party just get on with the task of electing a new leader so we at least have some opposition to Starmer. :-\

They should have ditched Sunak straight after the election and installed a temporary leader, IDS maybe? ???
It's effing ridiculous taking 4 - 5 months to elect a new leader though. It appears they've learnt nothing. :-\ ::)

And what, exactly, will this shiny new leader do, once elected? Shout across the house at a prime minister whose majority is so large that he really couldn't care less. The Tory leader we get now is of no consequence, the one we have in four years.....maybe.

Fair point. Sunak should have stood down after the election tho, and they should have had a new leader installed for the conference in the Autumn. ::)

The only decent Tory performance I've seen after the election, was Jeremy Hunt responding to Rachel Reeves claims that the Tories had hidden spending which was why they'd discovered a £20bn black hole they didn't know about. Over ten minutes he demolished all of her claims one by one and showed genuine anger while he was doing it.
I didn't think he had it in him! ;D
