my omega 2.0 from 95 wont turn over not even a click from the starter. the light on the immobilizer button on the central console will not come of and the central locking is not working any more ether
-
try putting a new battery in the key fob and re-sync the fob ;)
-
Isn't '95 the one with the separate remote fob? And no transponder chip :-\
Does the starter turn over if you apply power to it directly?
Does the dash light up when you switch it on?
Any resistance when you turn the key?
-
i will try to apply power to the starter directly and see if that works and yes the dashboard lights up
-
and ive tried to re-sync the fob but it wont sync even tho ive done it exactly as it says in the instruction manual
-
If its a model year 95, it will have the infra red immobiliser system, where you have to start the car within a set time of unlocking the car. The immobiliser system does seem less reliable than the later transponder based ones.
If it is that one, fortunately it can be easily bypassed.
-
yes its the infra red system, how do i bypass it. i have not found anything on the internet on how to bypass it
-
Prove that it is the immobiliser first, then I'll dig out the details ;)
