....the bastard who killed this poor Amazon driver in Leeds was caught on an Amazon ring doorbell camera.
-
No house on Alliance street has CCTV (google ,street view dated Jul 2022)
just a few crappy PIR flood lights

Even if it was caught on cctv, they'd probably say there was lack of evidence and go back to trawling Facebook for people who've said daft things and bang them up for years instead! :-X

See these drivers most evenings down our area and still delivering around 22.00 hrs , awful way to earn a living & certainly not worth losing your life over, hope they catch the perpetrator but won't get any kind of sentence that will deter him/her from carrying on with criminal activities.

If i was working for them on shit wages, they could have the whole bloody van.

Trouble is it’s all some people can get in the way of work due to many reasons. If I had to do the job I’d most certainly have a robust way to defend myself but of course if used or even found with any such deterrents I’m sure the criminals would get the law on their side as per usual.

They're mostly self employed, so they can technically choose who they work for and how long for. Amazon contracts out most of its delivery routes to independent transport companies such as the one this chap worked at.
Evri operate in much the same way.
Anyone grumbling about the wages of these drivers would soon complain about delivery costs if they insisted on higher wages.
