Title: Plastic door bushes.
Post by: Mutha Jugs n Speed on 27 August 2024, 08:23:50: I'm getting low on the plastic door bushes, was thinking whether anyone ever found an alternative replacement, i.e Corsa,Vectra etc......getting fed up with the stealers blank looks when asking for anything, as it's computer says no for virtually everything now. >:(

That would be a simple lathe job. But I'd want to know that the original parts are definitely not available before I made any.

I still have three original door bushes, after fitting one to the drivers door today.
Im planning on keeping the car for the foreseeable, so will keep my boxes of spares, as they are getting a bit rare now.

That says print in PETG, presumably for strength. 3D prints are weak in one plane, due to the way the layers are built and stuck together.

Rather than pay, there is a freebie STL on Thingiverse. Maybe I should print one to see how it comes out....
