We have been using BulldogBDX as a releasing fluid for a while and it's very good indeed (expensive but lasts).
They also make Alphalan, which is about £40 for their starter kit, two tins and an applicator. It goes on very well, we've done a couple of cars with it. Dries to a tranlucent caramel colour which is the only thing stopping me using it on the purple prject (because that's getting a purple floorpan).
