Two O rings where the pipe goes into the Stat housing.
Could do with a new pair but no idea where I can source them. Anyone got any info please ?

They go to the grooves in transfer pipe to the end that comes inside thermostat housing:

In the pic above the pipe has been removed, for replacing those O-rings :)

Actually, that looks to me like the thermostat to block seal rather than the seals for the transfer pipe ? :-\

Ive ordered all three seals from Autodoc. Nearly Ł20 inc delivery for three little rubber rings, but has to be done I suppose
Dont want to keep messing around trying to get it right at this time of year.
Hopefully delivery wont take too long.

or try any local engineering supplies and they should stock them for pennies . tell them its for high temp area such as viton or fkm

Before refitting, clean everything up, when refitting I use to smear both ends with Silicone. Hardest part of job is getting B-bolt back in :D

Isn't there a trick for the B-bolt? ???
I seem to remember something like cutting a short length of hosepipe, stuffing the head of the bolt in one end and then feeding it into the hole and twisting the hose to get the thread going? :-\
I might be thinking of something completely different though. ;D

Part of it is ensuring that the thermostat tube is oriented correctly and fully seated, the tricky bit is getting the lifting bracket to stay still in the correct position as you slot the bolt in ;)
Doing it from the front of the engine with your right hand frees up your left hand to support the lifting bracket. From the side, your fingers kinda end up in the way.

I always found it easier to enlarge the hole in the lifting bracket by running a 10mm drill bit through it.That way you have a bit more adjustment as trying to get the bolt lined up with all the bits isnt that simple given your had is at the wrong angle.
In truth it still will all clamp up and its highly unlikely you will ever be using the lifting eye in the future anyway

I'm sure that I used to feed the bolt into place on the end of a bit of hosepipe or more likely thinking about it, sticking the bolt into a socket with a bit of tape and putting the socket onto an appropriate length extension bar, rather than trying to get my fingers in there. :-\
Al's probably right as well that it's easier to attack it from the front. :y
