This EV malarkey is going to kill the car trade and finish off some manufacturers. The people that want one will no doubt already have one, so the uptake of them will just level out at a low point, and the vehicle manufacturers can’t survive like that. :-\

Plus, if you are like us, living in a house with nowhere to put a home charger, then you're not likely to buy an EV...are you? There are approximately 12 public chargers in Barnsley, not a lot of use.

The Waitrose near us has 8 charging points, and they are always empty. I’m fortunate enough to have both the driveway space and garage wall to fit a charger so the only thing missing is my commitment to actually wanting one. ::) ;D

I'm planning on getting a new gas boiler this year or next, and buying a reasonably new diesel car. That will keep me safe from millipede until I fall off my perch.

A sad day. Vauxhall and Luton have been inextricably linked to one another for a very long time.
Inevitable though. The good old days are long gone. :(

Yes.....hang a cable with a three point plug out the window at night. Takes about 12 hours. :)
