With there present problems (catastrophic engine failures ) anyone purchasing one of these must be totally mad, hate to think about the electrical problems that they will have.
-
I wonder if they are as easy to nick? ;D

"Prototypes being tested uncamoflaged..."
It looks just like the petrol one, what's to hide ???
This whole zero emission marketing wank is wearing thin though. There's absolutely nothing zero emission about building anything that relies on an external power source to make it work, then shipping it 5,000 miles to show it off.*
That will obviously be read as being anti JLR, but it's meant as an observation to the utter misrepresentation of what's being foisted on us.

JLR car thefts are falling fast, most stolen car is the Fiesta followed fast by the Golf and the 3 Series.
Plus its NOT an easy car to nick and never has been, it needs some fancy electronics, jammers, remote locations and a gang network. Plus we have campaigned a massive number of vehicles to remove a security flaw which was being used which is improving the numbers further (locking down a CAN network which could be accessed by cutting a hole in the boot).
There are two types of car theft, mass organised crime who go after high value cars and lower level gangs which go after medium/low value cars which are easy to nick.
Have spent time in the last two years working with the UK Police on this topic and have seen some very interesting places in remote parts of Kent and Norfolk!

That's why its not in Camo, its just a different drive train, looks very much like the PHEV (as that also has a battery under the floor)
The zero emissions thing is purely legislation driving the manufacturers, the Range Rover and RRS will be offering everything from 6 to 8 cylinder ICE engine, through PHEV and also BEV as parallel options, the BEV does not mean the ICE flavours go :y

Methinks you listen too much to people in the pub.
I seem to recall you saying similar about all JLR products, but have since conceded that you think your RRS is one of the best cars you've owned?
FF RR in L405 and L460 form are not renown for "catastrophic engine faults" going by warranty figure. TBH, nor were the L322s either, not withstanding the BMW sourced 4.4 petrol was a bit incontinent (as it is in BMW applications), and the Ford based 5.0 petrol had early waterpump issues. The V8 diesel is also fairly reliable, though like any high milier modern diesel, poor servicing can lead to EGR and turbo issues.

Hmm, a Range Rover with such sophisticated security software upgrades that it was deemed unstealable by the selling dealership. He was told not to bother having a Ghost fitted as theft would never be an issue. Hmm, it was stolen from his driveway in under fifteen minutes.

One guy on the RR forum returned to his car and was puzzled why one of his rear light clusters was all that remained in the spot where he had left it , apparently it gave easy access when removed to the security system, as fast as the systems are improved the thieves find a way round them.

[Assuming its not a trade secret] Do you know if this will come in a 7 seat version Mr DTM? Or is the battery packaging such that you can't have the foldaway 3rd row? I am guessing not as you cannot have a 7 seat Phev, but I also assume the architecture underneath is going to have to be different to every other L460 as to get decent range on something the size and weight of a FF RR the battery is going to have to be >100kwh minimum...
Genuinely curious as this might be the only way in my life I get to knock about in a new RR. And even then, probably not ;D

A quick check of the Vignette shows only 5 seat versions.
I know the motors are eating into the boot floor area so suspect that is impacting the seat stowage space

Guess I'll have to wait for an electric L663 130 then :-*
