Opel Omega 97 pfl sedan
When I bought the car, I even admired how the doors so gracefully and easily operated, the click of the handle and the sharp pleasant closing sound. With the colder weather arriving the pleasant door handle sound was replaced by a pathetic "thump" and now I have a two door Omega.
However both rear doors open well from the inside. The passenger side rear door doesn't open at all from the outside handle, the driver rear door opens when Mrs. Omega has a good mood.
A local guy mentioned something about pushing on the door while opening, and today I tried it and got both doors open from the outside. It's not a satisfactory solution and I still look like a car robber when messing around with the handles.
Is this a common issue (I've heard it is) and what can be done to better it?
TIA.

Yes it is.
Two possible scenarios are:
-Broken door handle
-Plastic adjuster that goes between door handle and door opening mechanism. He can be screwed/unscrewed, so I would start from there.
You'll need to remove door card first to take a look.
