Title: Chassis number on motorbikes
Post by: shanjon on 17 September 2008, 00:15:00
anyone know of a site that will give you a vehicles reg from its chassis number,
reason i ask is i brought a suzuki ts50x and stripped it for parts , but now i am passing the frame onto brother in law but we need to know the reg first,
basically the bike came with a number plate but i have no idea if it belongs to the frame

I dont know if dvla will give you that info from a frame no. ? There may be "ringing" issues, if thats the correct term? Maybe give them a ring and see what they say.

i checked the supposed reg on dvla and it corresponds to the type of bike but it also shows it has not been taxed since 1999,
i have tried using textcheck but all i get is that there is no record
