Dim the sun?

This sounds like a job for Scott Tracy of international rescue. Thunderbird one would be ideal for the job.

Brains can work out a plan of action, which Lady Penelope can deliver in FAB1.

It won't be very balmy if they dim the sun.  :-\                       ;D

They are also planning to charge people in the South more for their electricity than people in the north.
To call them moronic is an insult to morons.  >:(

People attach too much importance to these 'ideas'. Very few of them ever come to fruition.

It's the wrong end of April for this sort of news, surely?

I remember it being 38C this time last year , as we drove through Seville. Thankfully this year it will only be 26C.

Maybe dim the sun down here and reflect the rays up north?

Will pigs start flying when they dim the sun ?  Also I'm sure vehicle excise duty may have to be raised again because this of course is the major contributor to climate change, I know sarcasm is the lowest form of wit but I just couldn't help myself..😂

Reading through that article, one suggestion is to spray aerosols into the atmosphere. Now I am no engineer or scientist, but isn't that apparently what caused the problem in the first place >:D

Presumably this modern type of aerosols would be CFC free.

But what do I know.... :-\

Given some of the light-hearted replies, methinks some don't take this seriously enough.

These 'experiments' could have severe impacts for farmers, birds and bees. What they spray into the atmosphere will eventually fall to earth and contaminate the soil. Meanwhile, any reduction in sunlight will clearly affect our all our environment negatively.

Perhaps they want us all to starve. It's crime against the human race.  >:(

It's been going on for years though.

There were 'conspiracy theories' that the 1952 Lynmouth flood disaster in North Devon was caused by a cloud seeding experiment, Project Cumulus, carried out by the RAF over Southern England between 1948 and 1952.

Any link between Project Cumulus and the Lynmouth disaster has always been hotly denied by the authorities.  ::)
