Looked at various makes and models over the months as a company car, looked at MG and thought nothing special in the looks and practical offerings.
Need an estate or an SUV and am still looking. :-\
But was out and about to day and saw one of these only had chance to follow it but must admit we both were impressed with what we saw.
Not practical for me for work and health reasons,
But thumbs up to MG :y

that well known model of .... MG Cyberster :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ Never seen or heard of one! ???

Ah yes, it's been well publicised. A very competent sports car by all accounts, but I went off MG when it changed its name from Morris Garages to Monosodium Glutamate.

Chinese.
It will be a cold day in hell when I bought a Chinese car and yes I do know that non Chinesecars have lots of Chinesecomponents .

Loads of all variants of the new MGs round my way , even the taxi firms have them all supplied by the same local dealership WH Brand family firm with a very good reputation in our area, used to be a BL dealership many years ago, I've used the taxi firms on occasions and they're very comfortable vehicles , I wouldn't buy one though but for a new vehicle they seem reasonable in price.

Looks nice. :y Although not 100% convinced by the rear end. :-\
Unusually for a new EV, it doesn't have a telly sellotaped to the dash. :y

The new chinky MG IM5 Performance holds a certain appeal.....
750BHP
4 wheel drive and 4 wheel steer
7 year warranty
Overflowing with tech.....although I'm not sure that is a plus point.
£48,000....but will depreciate few other things.

Quite a few Cyberster around. Mainly driven by women. :)
I believe the advertised car is the single motor version, so will be purchased mainly by the hairdressing community. ::) ::)

There are a few people on Youtube talking about them and their reliability. One guy runs a mobile EV servicing business and has a small fleet of them (5 maybe) and they are very impressive compared to equivalent ICE vehicles. He's taken them to c200-230,000 miles and they still retain more than 80% battery capacity despite a regular use of rapid chargers. They need basically no regular maintenance other than cabin filters and tyres. Brake pads last 80-100k or so, rear springs/shocks c120k and he hasn't bothered to change the gearbox oil or coolant. Bearing in mind they spend all their lives with the whole rear full of commercial van racking and mechanics' tools, they live about the hardest life you could reasonably imagine for a car of that type.
Clearly not a drivers' car, but to deliver all that at such a comparatively low price point is very impressive and will no doubt be a cause for concern amongst the likes of stellantis & VW.

You'd break all the crockery in the tin tent ;)

You could buy a brand new Dacia Spring for the same money as that Merc.
Much more sensible. ::) ::)
Personally, I'd go for an F-Pace with the 575BHP SC V8.....then drive it to Viezu for a little work and 700BHP.
