Have noticed lately on the forum, that some members are thinking of selling their Omega's due to the forthcoming roadtax increases.
I know this may seem the logical way to save money in these hard times, but I personally don't think it to be a good idea.
OK from next year you will be paying an extra £200 for your tax, but that's (only £4 a week if you say it quickly)
2nd hand Omega's are already exceptional value. But I think that as soon as the new tax law actually comes into force, I think their prices will plummet even further.
Therefore, I will be there to take advantage of this opportunity.......I can just see it now....53 plate 3.2 Elite, 40,000 miles, cambelt just changed....£1500 ono.
Do you agree??? :y

no it doesnt, but cant remember the dates. from 2001 i think.
It's all cars manufactured after the 1st of March 2001 and it goes on the Co2 emissions
this what i have found....as from march 2009 for cars registered between march 01 to march 06.. increase to £440.
by 2010 the rate will be £455. :y

Just had a look, Mig OK, Mitsubishi OK, both 98's :yJust another way for the government to make dosh. You pay enough for diesel anyway. Where does the dosh go anyway, they don't improve the roads or anything. :-/
The Citroen goes up to £430 it is only a 1.6 diesel, even though a big car, has the same emissions as the Mitsubishi, find that a bit strange :-/
