Title: I'm lost.
Post by: Doctor Gollum on 23 August 2025, 23:07:29
Got home from a 3 day trip to find out our beloved Tibetan Terrorist had to be put down on Thursday afternoon. ;(

Thank you Koko, life won't be the same without you.

Sorry to hear that.

Eighteen months since we had to put our dog down. Very tough time.

It is heartbreaking to lose a much loved pet so I know exactly how you are feeling right now, take comfort in the fact that Koko knew love, so many never experience that .

Too true. We are too old to see another dog through safely. We have, however, adopted a farm dog. The owner has a plot of land in the countryside near where we live. He grows vegetables and has dozens of dogs in cages plus a few tied up. Near the entrance is the third Mastiff. During his tenure on a very heavy chain about 10 foot long he has been blinded in one eye. His water was empty when Mrs V stopped by to feed him. Farm and hunting dogs are not covered by the recent new animal welfare laws thanks to the right wing nutters ( Vox) who only supported the bill if it excluded farm and hunting dogs.
A farmer who allowed at least 32 dogs to starve to death has just been sentenced to two years prison but will serve none of it as you only serve sentences greater.

Sorry to digress.

That farmer needs to have an accident involving agricultural machinery.

Indeed.

We could go to the police who might take action but you have to do a denuncia which has your name and address on it.In a rural community the guy could make our lives very unpleasant.

We might make a video and put it on a usb stick and post it to the appropriate dept of police with the address of the property. I would have to be sure there isn’t a ‘stamp ‘ on the video from the mobile phone.

Sounds like a good idea. Sounds like someone has to do something to try and save the poor creatures.  ;(
