Title: Blue badges
Post by: Tony H on 17 September 2008, 13:26:36
Just seen on the news that things are about to get tougher for people who buse the use of disabled badges. fines are to be dramatically increased and the perpetrator will end up with a criminal record. If it was up to me the b*stards would get there car crushed >:( >:(

Ive got a blue badge but cant use it half the time because spaces full of people to lazy to walk. Pulled a couple of lads up last week for using disabled bay at tescos when there was obviously no disability got a mouth full of abuse. Apperently it was nearer for them to carry there cases of beer.

We gave out a few tickets yesterday and today to people abusing the disability parking spaces...There are signs on each bay telling you if you don`t have a blue badge then you will get a fine i`m just surprised at some of the excuses they give..."my wife is pregnant" or "i`ll only be 2 mins".....or the absolute favourite of mine is the gym members who wont walk the extra few yards to get to the gym i mean if your going to the gym, park that little extra away just think of the extra calories your losing...... ;D ;D (and 1 of them is an ex albion player) ;)

It is possible in some instance to park up in  a blue badge space, display your blue badge appropriately, and then realise you have left behind the person to whom the Blue badge was issued. The Mother in Law.  :o
Only Joking!  ;D

I pulled a current Manchester United player for the same thing outside a local pub a few months ago. If you can play football to his standard every week then you can bloody well walk a few extra yards to the pub!!!! >:(

Tracy has one, she doesn't like using it but there are times when she has little choice......

Big shopping centre in Plymouth about 300 disabled spaces and most of the time you will find a porsche, BM or Merc parked there, i have heard owners saying that it is the only way they can stop the car from being a damaged as they are being ticketed for parking in spaces they are no entitled to.......

those who have them are entitled for a reason.....and so the space should be given over to them

They should be more careful, there are those that deliberately target flash cars abusing disabled space!

Never and wouldnt myself, but have seen it done
