Title: Wii's
Post by: HolyCount on 17 September 2008, 17:18:09
OK -- I am confused.  I think SWMBO is planning to buy me a Wii for my upcoming b'day ( or maybe xmas), cos she has been asking all sorts of Wii related questions.

Anyway ---- in Littlewoods Direct they have a Wii console with Resident Evil at £219. Next to that they have a Wii sports console pack at £179. Is the sports console pack a "bolt on" console or a proper console ??

What's with these price differences ???

Every Wii comes with wii sports, its the default, any other games bundled are normally to save a few quid.

So .. Wii sportspack is like the base entry level model ??? That makes Resident Evil a mighty expensive game !!!!!!

Agreed, athough I found the novelty soon wore off, haven't used the Wii for 3 months or so, the 360 on the other hand gets used every day. If you want a serious game console and intend to play games like resident evil get a 360 or PS3. £40 quid for a game is about the norm these days, do yourself a favour and go to blockbusters and get preowned, you can get 2 or 3 used games for the price of 1 new 1!

You have to be mad to buy new! I'm so glad I didn't pay full price for some of my games as they weren't as good as I was expecting!

I think the PS2 gets most usage here, then the PS3.

Best Nintendo console is the DS we have 2

Don't really like the DS, gave it to little un. Its just so basic, its no better than the handheld games I used to play in the early 90's. Crap graphics and annoying repetitive sounds/music. She on the other hand loves it...

true - theres a door on one side that reveals gamecube memory card and controller ports - plus the way the stick is designed - if you turn it on its side its the old SNES controller - for when you download all the old classics  :y

nicest designed console IMO - they took the time to cater for as many people as they could  ;)

Mike does your daughter like puzzles games because if she does then
she might like this game  its called fruit fall ,I got my daughter this
game and  and she loves it and she says its a very good game , I
found that if you go on game web site and look for the games  you
can get People opinion and what they say about the games
