Title: Fit For Life
Post by: Mr Skrunts on 21 September 2008, 07:16:26
I read a book with that tittle a few years ago and it explained in simple detail why diets dont work.

Diets being a short term fix work for a short while, if you want a long term fix then it's obvious you need a long term soloution.

No 2 people are the same, and with health and medical issues that each individual may have then allways be guided by a Doctor if not sure.

Some simple things to ponder over.

Are you hungry between meals - Have a glass of water - We are actually advised to take in 8 glasses of water per day (approx 4 pints.)

Do you eat a breakfast - Doesnt need to be much - But the metabolism needs waking up in a morning.

Dont mix Carbs and Proteins in the same meal.

Carbohydrates for lunch will give you energy to carry on the day.

Protien at night will help you sleep

There will be times were you have equal ammonts of protien and carbs on the same plate, the the problem is they work better on thier own but when mixed they fight each other like alkaline neutralising and acid thus having a lesser effect.

Drink more fuids - Water

Cut out the bread.

Eat smaller portions - Little and often

Dont eat within 3 hours of going to bed.

Cream cakes and pork pies (does comment need to be made)

Remember salad is basically neutral, dont be shy wirh it.

Vegtables - Increase the ammount of greens on your plate, not the ammount of Potatoes.
