Wouldnt worry, he sounded ok when we were chatting earlier :y
Seemed quite pleased with himself tbh.
Ok, we've more or less finished breaking our first Omega so I was casually looking thru ebay again to see if there were any other candidates for a new project. Jue was asleep on the sofa (don't think he'll ever do that again lol).
I saw a star silver 2.5L, ignition problem but new tyres, new exhaust so worse comes to worse and u gotta break, could have been worthwhile. Tried to ask Jue about it but he was firmly in land of nod (its all his fault really) so put it into my ebay sniping software and forgot about it completely.
Then saw another star silver omega, but an estate TD, bargain price, possible HG failure (dealt with that before, no problem). Put that in baygenie (just so I'd remember to ask Jue about them when he woke up).
Then a third candidate, 1995 3.0L elite, red (familiar territory and I just love red lol) came up. Put that in baygenie as well.
Now, neither of us have slept more than a couple of hours a nite in last two weeks cause of cough cold thing.., coughing all nite so brain is a bit more swiss cheesey even than normal.
Discussed cars with Jue late morning, put a sniping bid in on the red car and he phoned the owner of the estate later on in the day. Things got fairly exciting for both of us as the price the guy asked for for the estate was rather good. I forgot about the other auction.
We paid for the estate (the phrase pay it before he comes to his senses comes to mind). And erm, just as we were sorting out collection details hotmail let me know I'd won an auction.., for a red Omega.
Oops. Major quandry as to how on earth we pay for two cars when we only had enuf for one.., can't believe I didn't turn off the bidding process but there u go. Its done. Sorted out the finances and tonite I finally screwed up the will to pay for it thru ebay.
And froze.
I'd forgotten I'd actually done the same thing for the first car (swiss cheese brain and all that) and erm guess what, I'd won that one too. I did stop having a heart attack after about an hour.., sort of.
Jue hasn't divorced me, god knows why (probably cause we not married lol). My sniping software is most definitely turned off and mmh, well I don't think I am EVER gonna live this down.
Am I the only person in the world to have ever done something as daft as this? Expecting the men in white coats to march thru the door any minute, either to cart me off or Jue for laughing at my antics lol.
so, how many migs do you have in total now? :o :o ;D
4 miggies and an Astra
Swmbo don't drive.......only me up the wall :D :D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Don't think I'll ever be able to leave the blasted sink lol, gotta pay all this good will back somehow lol.
Bet u'r not gonna fight for me now skruntie lol., for a cheap bird I seem to have broken all boundaries.
Yes, as he says.., I don't even drive cars but I seem to buy them really well! Well, its ok, they are all ultimate bargains, isn't that true?
/me runs and hides
OI! Who put that comment on my account..., u just wait !You shouldn't be allowed near any account ;D

Yep, remember them, the first ones, in thsi country, had 3 seats, side by side, in the front, no back seats, and left hand drive only.
I liked the Rabcho, had one for a couple of years, loads of space, well ahead of it's time but only ever front wheel drive. A Simca van really.
:)
