I need help,
I have an Omega in south Wales, with no tax, that needs to get as close to Gainsborough as possible, if anyone could help, or has an idea how i could go about it i would be very thankful.
The car is still on the road in a cul-de-sack, and the neighbours have started to complain, so i really need this problem resolved rather quick, as i do not want any problems to arise for our friend in Wales.
Thanks for reading, any comments on this matter will be gratefully received.

The only legal way, as far as I know Steve, is to trailer it. :(
Not going to be that cheap though mate. How come you have to move it? ::)

Vehicle collection and delivery will set you back about a quid a mile -- most just charge for the loaded part of the journey.
-
well it needs to get back to its owner, and i need to get my money.
as i have no way of getting it up there, i thought that i would ask if anyone could help, it just needs to get closer to him as he does´nt have the time to do the round trip.

Join the aa/rac, with a RELAY level of cover or higher.
Find a way of temporarily disabling the Omega.
Wait 48 hours for the cover to take effect.
Ring them and tell them your Omega has broken down just as you were setting off on a journey up to Gainsborough (they will need the exact address!!)
Wait an hour for your free lift to arrive and ride in the truck all the way up to Lincolnshire.
Havent done it myself, but a guy I sold a saab 9-5 with a seized engine did it and had no problems at all. They relayed it from Nottingham down to Hereford for him !!
-
Do you know anyone with a set of 'Trade Plates' if it is a runner?
-
Alternatively, tax it and drive it up. Then take the tax disc in for a refund. That way it should only cost you one month's tax plus the cost of petrol. :y

Thats not a bad idea, the only trouble could be is that i am 200 miles away from Wales :-/

Be careful on that one Steve. It may seem like a good trick but they are on to it.

Do we know the new owner?

Will they take it if i is not taxed, and therefore should not be on the road?

I am really on a push to get this resolved as soon as possible its just the fact that i feel helpless as i am so far away.

No unfortunately not.
good idea though. :y
-
Couldnt answer that, the Saab was taxed.

The car is not insured Martin :-[

As you know Steve, if it's parked on the road and the neighbours get too snotty, they'll report it to the police and it will be towed and crushed.
Might be worth a little jaunt to the land of the sheep worriers to take it back yourself.
You can arrange insurance for one day only.
If I could help I would but I'm a also about 200 miles away. :(

I can sell it to recoup the money Steve..It will save the problem all round..
If Mutantcav sends me the documents i will put it up for sale.
If the car you bought from him had been any good none of this would have happened..
You WILL get your money Steve don't worry.
