This may have been done before but which car do you prefer for looks , Facelift or pre facelift ?
I've got a facelift myself but I have to say I preferred the looks of my old 1994 car.
-
facelift, looks cleaner, no black plastic or chrome.
That said the interior is not as hard wearing, but externally its much better imo.
The boot especially, lot cleaner & neater.
-
Mini-Facelift every time
-
I voted faclift based upon exterior
But i prefer pre facelift interiors TBH. would love a late model facelift with a PFL interterior. ahwell
-
Looks like I am the only one voted for the pre-facelift so far...
Had both, and always though that pre looked more imposing, sort of ministerial type of wheels, while the facelift looked a bit like a bland Japanese car.
Said that, I do accept the the pre now looks a bit dated, while the facelift still looking reasonably up-to-date even now 8 years after launch.

agreed
-
Prefacelift (I know that I am biased).
Facelift looks blocky - mostly around the front and rear lights.
And generally - it looks like the designer's management said "Make it look more... Vauxhall". It doesn't look as special because it is trying to look like the contemporary Astra and Vectra.
-
i voted fl over all, ideal mig for me fl 3.2 elite with mv6 leather and suspension with, now the hard part, pre fl cc dials...
i really didnot like the black plastic/chrome trim on my pre fl :-/
-
There are parts of both I like, for example I like the colour coded door mouldings and the mirrors of the facelift, so I came to a compromise and mixed the two together.
As you can see by the pictures below, I have fitted facelift colour coded door mouldings and wings mirrors and it makes the pre-facelift look more modern, I've also fitted facelift elite badge to the doors, hard to believe my omega is an early 1996 model 8-)

can a face lift bonnet be fitted to a pre fl ? i rekon you may well have it about cock on then Jim, very tidy... :y
-
not sure how to vote on this one...
Prefer the facelift bodywork from the wingmirrors back... prefer the mini-facelift for the frontend
Prefer the facelift leather interior... prefer the mini-facelift dashboard & instruments...
Already got the facelift rear lights to go on mine, still need rubstrips n stuff yet ;D
-

need facelift bonnet, scuttle panel (with washer jets), headlights, bumper, washerbottle nozzle (unless bottle is different too)
-
Facelift...not a fan of the prefacelift...sorry but it is not a looker in my opinion. :y :y

Cheers Mate!!
A facelift bonnet will fit on to a pre facelift omega but you might have to change the bumper to which is also a straight swap :y
-
I've voted pre facelift as i prefer 'em in & out. As said the facelift looks like VX felt they had to do something. Many cars have a similar centre/stereo panel to the facelift where as the pre was unique as a car in & out. That said i've seen a few members facelifts that i like & despite the big rear end i'm coming round to the idea.
Seen a few on my travels & they're growing on me...slowly.... :y

Same washer bottle, and you don't have to change the headlights the only diffence is the pre facelift headlights are rounded at the bottom corner where it meets the grill.
-
.... scuttle panel (with washer jets), ....
My mini pre face lift cat has the same scuttle as the acelift cars, but with blanks where the washers would fit
-
I prefer the facelift overall although I prefer the front of the pre-facelift ;)
-
..... although I prefer the front of the pre-facelift ;)
Agreed and as someone said before, the PRE face lift cars don't have the 'corporate Vauxhall' look of the Astra & Vectra. I much prefer the swage line that runs from wing to wing across the bonnet.
-
Jims car looks nice
-
Voted facelift, although having the pre-facelift in the past, as it is better looking and some how more refined :y :y :y :y :y
I still like the look of the Senator best though with its great 'cheesegrater' grill and longer bonnet!! :D :D :D ;)

:y :y :y :y :y :y :y They had PROPER road presence. :y
-
Like the External appearance better of the facelift especially the elite stock alloys, but still like the interior of the mini facelift better as not as much Plastique! imo!
-
Jims car looks nice
Thank You :y

Thank You :y
Said so originally on your gallery thread - best looking prefacelift I know of.
-
Always facelift
-
Drive both of them, must admit when I got my MV6 facelift really was not keen on the bonnet thing, but for me the FL is such (or seems) a better drive, so voted FL.
-
Looks like facelifts are running away with it at the moment(apart from the interior !! )
Maybe ought to have a poll for best looking car. Jim's would certainly be up there . Very tasty !

Jims looks the dogs, and considering its a 96 model year, more the credit to him for doing such a good job :y
-
pre face has much better interior but fit facelift mirrors and bump strips with irmscher bumpers spot on !! 8-) 8-)
-
Mini FL although having said that, Jim's looks the DOGS DANGLY BITS with the Irmy front and bump strips.
If you look at the Honda Accord and the FL, at a quick glance, they could quite easily be mistaken.
so I'm having probs placing a vote.

Pre facelift. Facelift are too "angular".

Prefacelift MV6 for me, I like the Carbon Fibre look, better than plastic wood, and not so keen on the facelift interior either.
-
Jim, they both look bloody fantastic!!! :y :y :y
I want, I want!!! Would you swap with mine?!? ;D
I would love one of those front bumpers, but guess there VERY hard to get hold of now? :(

There's one on eBay (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Vauxhall-Omega-Irmscher-front-bumper-with-fog-lights_W0QQitemZ230297694117QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item230297694117&_trkparms=72%3A1301%7C39%3A1%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C240%3A1318&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14) :y

ER!! No!! ;D ;D :y

jim,s is a fine example! pre-facelift every time, but take some good bits off a facelift. to me the face lift slaps some squared up boot and bonnet under the still sexy curvy roofline.

Agreed :y
-
Facelift all the way for me. It's just my personal preference
-

lol, I hate that! ;D Facelift a much classier car imo ::) Though most always let down by the fake interior wood I think :(
