Not a Vauxhall at all.

How much does a proper (RHD, Vauxhall Carlton) go for these days? £15k last time I looked.

if im right in saying then some people have tried to make gsi 3000's look like l.carltons... if it was a proper lotus carlton then tbh i dont think 1 they'd have it on ebay or 2 it would be so cheap/ have no stupid reserve

*edit:
i'v had a nosey and without looking properly these look like proper l.c's

Didn't mean to belittle the car. Still a full fat Lotus Carlton except badge and steering wheel position.

Damn right. It would only get its' legs properly stretched on a track or an autobahn so I wouldn't regard a left hooker as being a problem. :y

.. now don't tell me you'd want a shushbox on one? :o  ;)

You'd need to look a little further than an AR35 to handle that.

Me too.
Unless I happened across a sequential box that would take the torque, of course. 8-)

Still a bit of a weapon mate! Was talking to the ABS lads who had 4 of these down at Donnington and they are immense!

The lotus Carlton cost £48000 in 1990.
I bought a 3 bedroom terrace house in a nice area with a garage for £41000 in 1990.
Mighty expensive piece of kit in thos days. :y :y

Whilst a standard Carlton looks horribly dated these days, I think the LC still looks pretty fresh too. That body kit was a work of genius. :-*

It looks to have the right for bits for a Lotus Calton, the build "Number" can be traced and at that price it has tobe worth a trip to look at it.

Now this is where it gets interesting.....

accorinding to http://www.lotus-carlton.co.uk/ the build numbers are made up like so

build number/country letter

so 90G should be number 90 and destined for the Great British market.....however according to the auction this car has Italian service history so it should be 90R if it originated in Italy
