Post by: Proz on 06 October 2008, 19:02:38
Well got the spoiler fitted etc .... doesnt look like its been fitted to well to me so its going back on wednesday .... plus they damaged the rubber boot seal when drilling through from above and left holes untreated so they will rust ??   Anyway here are some pics   :-/

I like the colour of your omega....Always try to fit things myself if possible....If I take my time I can usually do it better than the so called experts. :y

So can anyone offer any info on how they will try to fix this .... can it be as simple as take it off and move it a little bit ?..... of should i ask for a second opinion somewhere else ?

they will have to 'oval the holes and line it up proplerly, it should then sit correctly.....

get them to protect the holes and possibly use a bit of silicone around the thread so as to waterproof it

I would imagine they would sand down the bottom on the spoiler to make it the same contour as the boot lid

It should fit without any sanding ... it was for the Omega Facelift .... i think they have fitted it a little to far back ... maybe needs to go forwards an inch ....Kind of pi***d off now .... ive tried to look after this car ........took it to a bodyshop that advertises fitting of bodykits etc thinking they would surely make a good job ..... should have tried to fit it myself  :'( :'( :'(

I tried and tried for ages to get the lip spoiler but couldnt get one for the facelift  :-/ .... saw this one on an 2003 MV6 and liked the look of it though ..... still do even though not quite fitted right  :-/
