I've just had my car tax renewal reminder. You could never renew before the 15th of the month, but that bit's been crossed off (yes, crossed off, no new form ;D) and you can now renew from the 5th of the preceeding month.
They want (need) your money............NOW!

I got mine this morning too and noticed that. The thing is will they back date it to the start of the month if you apply that early??

Got mine as well, wasn't sure what was crossed out as they sent me a Welsh one...

I Think I get away with it being an X reg 2001

£400 applies to V6 Omegas Registered After March 2001

They wouldn't let me renew the Westfield before the 15th last year. I know because the price went up on around the 12th and I tried to get in early. >:(

Nope but I did get a prize for the highest recorded speed over the bridge... (3pt & £180 fine - better than the ban they where pushing for...)

You guys are lucky you don't live here in Ireland. Motor tax can be very high. You can see some examples below. Rates are for the year.
2 litre------£460
2.6 Litre----£833
3.2 Litre----£1164
Makes it very expensive to drive a V6. Not that I do.....yet!

Grief, those Irish car tax prices are high! Does that go straight to the government?
I pay about 180 euros(about £145) for a 2.5 here in Spain and the money goes straight to the local council. Each local council sets its own car tax levels believe it or not. Whoever owns it on a certain day pays for that year. No refunds. Can you imagine that in Britain!

Yep, it all goes to the government. Fuel prices here though are a little less than in the UK so it's not quite as bad as it could be.
