Nearly ran a car off the road as well
The amount of cars in the fog with no lights or side lights was amazing.
Near work a car coming the other way went onto the verge as they saw me and I didn't see them!
I had plenty of lights on

Really pisses me off,
It's raining, foggy, snowing or dark - stick your bloody lights on
Hell I run on the motor way with side lights on any way...

But when the fogs gone, they leave them on. Numpties

When appropriate I agree, Fogs are a must.
I really get fed up with people that don't turn them off when it clears, though! >:(

I always run with side lights on.
Years ago I went to overtake on an A road into the sun - I didn't see the car coming at first but I did see it's lights - if it's good enough for Volvo ;)

Sidelights are for parking only, Volvo had running lights, very different. sidelights on many modern cars are poor and do not show in the fog, the number of drivers in the fog this morning running on sidelights, might as well have no lights on at all.

Omega sidelights are rubbish

Sidelights are for parking only, .....
Completely agree. When I turn wipers on, that's my cue to turn my lights on to dipped. Although the idea has been dropped, I liked the idea of the 'dim-dipped' lioght that was implemented a few years back, you couldn't drive with side lights on. SWMBO's 94 Hyundai had them as did my G reg Senator but it seems it died a death ... as did the unit on the Hyundai - it left te dipped beam on when the lights switch & ignition were off. :-? ;D
