Everyone can remember the first time they met their other half, but some people meet up in the most unusual ways.
I met Mr Dusty in I suppose a more conventional way. We first encountered each other in a Nightclub, where Mr Dusty spilt drink all over my coat.
He was very unapologetic :o :o. My coat was "practically worthless" he said. :o :o
It must have been his rogueish charm that rubbed off, because we haven't looked back since. ;)
I wonder how you met the other half, and if it was as romantic as my first date?

School sweethearts - we met in the 5th year of secondary school ;)

First met my wife on a cold winter night outside a multistory carpark her and her mate asked me and my friend to go for a spin in their car, I chucked my mate in the back first so I didn't have to sit by her, I took a bite out of her pasty and it nearly vanished so she bit me, come wednesday we've been married 21 years and I'm still suffering, havn't been offered a bit of her pasty since.

Emma - She used to work as a Doorwomen, we had a fight and we almost got married
Emma 2 - She arrested me for afray, I was not working at the time and was trying to break up a fight (dated for 8 months)

Met at speedway in 1968.Had my leathers on and she tried to pinch a Suzuki badge for her boyfriend.Been together 40 years :'( ;)

Err...it was in a Police Station
I was a Special teaching self-defence training to the Volunteer Cadets and one asked me if I played Dungeons and Dragons. When I said yes she came back with "I thought so, it's your casual attitude to mindless violence"

I first got in touch with my fiancée on a dating web site, best thing I ever did :)

My other half got a job at the shop i was running 6 years ago, she lived not too far from me and we cant have worked together more than 10 times (she was our saturday girl) but my boss told me it was obvious she fancied me from the start, which I, being male, was completely oblivious to!!
the shop closed down, we went our seperate ways, she went off to college and uni and i only saw her brielfy in passing while driving past the card shop she worked in near where we live, not enough to really speak to. she'd changed her mobile number after we stopped working together and neglected to pass her new one on to me then for about 3 full years we never saw each other, her friend then told her she'd seen me in town pushing a pram, and also seen a baby on board sign in my car, so she thought i'd moved on and settled down and carried on her life thinking I was out of reach
However, the car her friend had seen was not mine, but someone else's that was very similar, and the pram I was seen to be pushing was in fact my friend's child while he was in a shop looking for baby clothes :D then 3 years later (october last year) I got a message via the good old net from said young lady sayin hello, we met up and had a good catch up, spent more and more time together, and the rest is history :y

Jimbob and I met at our local venture scouts christmas party!
I was 16 and he was 17! We started going out as a foursome with another couple, they sort of fell by the wayside and we carried on going out. Neither of us asked the other out it just sort of happened!
We lasted another few months at ventures before we were kicked out for sharing a tent at a scout meet! ;)
We got engaged after 4 years, bought a house after 5 years then got married after 7 years!
15 years after we met, here we are, and with 2 gorgeous boys to show for it. :)

It was the 21st November 1980, she was 14 and I was 15, I asked her to go out with me outside her front door after walking her home from youth club.
Been together ever since, nearly 28 years. And just had our 20th wedding anniversary.
So you can safely say I am not very worldly wise where women are concerned, but I am happy.

I was 17 and she was 16! We started going out as a foursome (fnarr fnarr) with another couple, they sort of fell by the wayside and we carried on going out. Neither of us asked the other out it just sort of happened!
We lasted another few months at ventures before we were kicked out for inapproriate behavior whilst sharing a tent, at a scout meet! ;)
We got engaged after 4 years, bought a house after 5 years then got married after 7 years!
15 years after we met, here we are, and with 2 gorgeous boys to show for it. :)

it worked, within 2 years i was her boss......however for some strange reason she always continued to boss me about...nothing really changed there :-?

I won't make a list but total disasters (most anyway) including my 23 yr old son. I still speak to his Mum but not him & he speaks to neither of us either. He had a row with his Mum last Xmas, accused us of having him on on whim. Let him get on with it. Funnily enough i get on fine with all my exes now, up here & down south. There is one i do miss sometimes despite leaving her & moving up to Lincolnshire to get away from her but i'm happier on my tod really. I'm content now.

12 years ago I was a mature student and was doing a Placement some 50 miles from home, 75 from Uni, so I put a caravan on a site, with a pub, and still claimed the daily mileage from Uni. :-X
Got to know lots of people, anyway long story short, I first met swmbo, when going out with someone else who’s family had a caravan. :) I had to go round and complain about swmbo youngest son, who had been in my awning, when I was at work, and had been playing with matches in my awning, burning a stool. ::) Caravan door opened, No 2 stepson answered the door, I said is you Mum in, No 2 stepson immediately pointed at No 3 and said ‘It was him’ ;D ;D ;D
Used to bump into her when going to the pub, I say she deliberately brought the boys in when she knew I would be passing, she said it was just a coincidence ::) ::) ::) it just went on from there really and here we are today with my own daughter to add to the crowd. :y

met my wife 8 years ago a a Yahoo Chat room. I was only on there cause i nicked a headset microphone thing from work hehe. She was dating a guy when i met her but she left him after 2 weeks of us chatting and talking on yahoo. Now we are married 2 years and have 2 kids both girls, Ones 4 and a half and the other is 9 weeks

I met mine on t'internet ::) Was just mooching around the odd chat room ( like you do), totally uninspired by the general dweeb population there, when this person (male or female I did not know) asked a reasonably intelligent question about English Social History. I know faff all about the subject but decided to have a stab at answering.
Turned out she was a french student doing a degree in English Studies (they don't just learn the language, but the history, society and economics). We started chatting about "things english" and, after a while I was asked if I would like to visit and stay at the University for a week.
So, a few weeks later I find myself at 6 in the morning on a freezing bus station in the south of France, waiting for a total stranger (who I hoped wasn't a 20 stone french rugby player with an axe!!). Corny I know, but I fell in love within seconds --- eight years later still in love, married with a 23 month old little boy and really happy.

i met my wife at a local nightclub, at the end of the night i followed her to her car and jumped in and refused to get out unless she gave me her number.
this was eight and a half years ago :y

I was asleep, drunk under the pool table in a local pub ( 1978 ), her indoors thought that I needed help and checked to see if I was OK, with the help of her sister they dragged me out and woke me up. The rest is history, 28 years married now, even though I tried chatting her sister up the following weekend as I could not remember what she looked like!!!!!

I was sharing a house with 4 other guys in north harrow & the mrs lived next door with her 2 teenage kids, she passed a sarky comment about the noise my monza made [rear box off & 2 ansa tailpipes welded together,,,,nice sound!], one night i was going for a drink when she popped her head out the door & asked me what i was doing, i invited her for a drink & the rest as they say is history [8 years & counting!], & i remember it like is was yesterday, & look what a poxy day yesterday was ;).

Met mine at work, I'd been there about a year when she joined. When she was given the tour and introduced to everyone her boss, upon arrivng at me, said "This is dave, he eats a lot". Admittedly I was well known for polishing off all the buffett food!! ;D
Apparently I was the best looking of a bad bunch of blokes, not sure what that's supposed to mean though :-?. Still here we are 4.5 years later with our 2 year old boy and very happy.

I was working on a ship as a casino manager and it was quiet for a couple of nights so was chatting her up as she was working in the bar next to the casino, one thing and another 10 years later 2 kids and are happy :D

while i was a psv engineer i was asked by one of the bus drivers if i could repair his dads escort (the heater matrix was leaking).
so while repairing it i was offered a cup of coffee by his sister who was visiting her parents. we met up after an arranged meeting by her brother and the rest has been a blur- but she does let me out of the cell for exercise and lets me have a rest from the drugs on the second thursday of every month !!! ;D ;D ;D

I met yvonne at a diner/dance organised by the 10 pin bowling leauge that i joined, i took my then girlfriend and met yvonne. danced with her most of the night, dumped the other one and have been with yvonne 22 years now. been married since june 93, Damm!!! the silly cow said yes. :D

Not so young ,free and single :) :) :) said to me ex what you want for xmas ,she said surprise me ,i did i left her .No one got hurt she hated me job as i was away all the time, that was 10 years ago , regret it sometimes but hey im just not responsible enough for that stuff so best i keep meself to meself :D :D :D

We met at 16, my first and only love, in Bromley after which he took me shopping in Lewisham and then out in the evening to see 'Midnight Cowboy', with a first real kiss and cuddle before the end ...............32 years later we divorced and my best friend disappeared.... :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

I knew this couple from the Sgts' Mess quite well as they attended "do's" quite often and I not only lived there but was the resident DJ. Due to other things I was eventually picking the uy up every tuesday to take him somewhere .... this went on for around 2 years....
Then one saturday disco night they turned up with this female ... I'm sat at the bar .. I say to George .. "who's the bird" ... he gets all huffy "that's no bird that's my daughter" ... meanwhile the daughter is asking Mum who Dad is talking to... I get introduced to this bird .. who is engaged to someone else .......
Now been married 31 years ......
So I have known my "outlaws" longer than my wife... and they got us together ... !!!

I knew my wife for 3 years before we got together. I used to deliver to the shop where she was Manager a couple of times a week and was oblivious to the fact she liked me. Eventually, her mate sent me a text saying "Sharon would like a date, are you interested?" That was 8 years ago. Two years to the day after our first date we got married.

Help! Just remembered it's my 34th wedding anniversary next Saturday!
So anyway, I was madly in love with this girl who barely recognised my existence, as she was waiting for a "Greek God" to appear in her life. I was more of a geek frog. Then she moved to a new flat, and I was noticed - you can pack a lot of stuff into a Wolseley 6/99 - only took 2 trips.
My wife was one of the new flatmates. Still, never mind, eh?

19 Years ago I was on the door at the nightclub and my then current girlfriend( with whom i had bought a house :o) brought along her best friend to the club for a good night out as she was feeling "sad" the friend was a stunner!!! :y spent all night cheering her up and ignoring the girlfriend ;D
to get rid of my then current girlfriend I sold my zodiac convertible :( then finished with the girlfriend and bought her half of the house so the current mrs Omegatoy could move in!!!! :y
