As I understand it there is a post count requirement of 50 for cars and 250 for parts (think thats right??). I understand there are reasons due to problems in the past...although not aware of what they are but would imagine its more to do with problems with people selling???
IF I'm right in this assumption, would it not be more appropriate to have seperate for sale and wanted section with the post count restriction staying as is on the for sale part...and not having said restrictions for those that want parts...
Also makes it easier if your searching through for people wanting bits to see which is which :)

I know a couple of other forums which separate buying and selling and it seems to work well. Helps separate the posts when the title isn't specific. Also, if you're interested in buying a car, for example, you can just browse down the "cars for sale" section without hitting a load of wanted ads.
You could argue that buyers aren't as potentially problematic as sellers since the seller doesn't have to trust them. :-/

Valid point, that has been considered, but never implemented as we feel its leading to too many sections, which introduces problems itself...

Personally I feel that a separate wanted section is definitely the way forward (especially as I am a new member after an Omega ;D).
It seems to work well on other forums that I frequent and is not open to abuse like the for sale section. Just my 2p's worth (and another post towards my 50th!!!!).
