Title: 3 mobile
Post by: rawsondsr on 16 October 2008, 11:33:47
Is this network any good?

they seem to have some very good deals on at the moment, and both of our current contracts are ending soon...

I changed from T-Mobile to 3, and it seems a pretty good service to me.  :y

Excellent for getting a signal, can get one everywhere.  I live in the middle of no-where and it's the only phone company I can get a decent signal with and I've tried them all.

Bloody expensive though on pay as you go.  On the other hand I think their contracts are pretty good value.

Both myself and mrs ld are with 3... Signal can be a bit dodgy when right in the sticks but generally very good. The £5 internet add on is a must if, like me, you do a lot of mobile surfing! You also get some free bits you don't get with other networks :y :y :y

There voice tarrifs are quiet good, but be carefull with there Data Tarrifs (internet) as they will realy hammer you  if you go over the limit. £1 per Mb. A friend of mine started to use his mobile with he's  laptop for email and internet, his normal £20 voice bill was nearly  £800 !!!! in 1 month.

I have two mates with the same problem, though i think it depends on where you live.
I have a good deal with Orange;- Broad Band & 800 any time, any network + 100 texts, free phone too, all for £25.00 :y

We have found a signal issue......

We had NO 3 signal within miles of Keswick, and a few other places which should have been fine.....but only on nokia, SE phones were fine.

Spoke to a very helpful and reliable bloke from 3....
We turned off automatic network selection
Did manual select, picked 3, and it has been perfect ever since.

Great little trick I have told a few people.
