I just got back from Nigel Langs is Bolton, great bunch of guys there very friendly. The car feels fantastic now, I can't believe the difference.

As you can see the car was way out! Now running on new rubber and new settings its amazing the diffenence. Anyone for whom WIM is too far to travel and Bolton is closer I would recommend taking a trip over. Cost me £74 but it does depend on how many adjustments they have to make to the car!

In Cardiff try these guys.

Is it worth putting the good Geometry places on the OOF map.

Is it worth putting the good Geometry places on the OOF map.
I'd say yes to that!!
-
80 miles from me and a 1 and 1/2 drive. :-/
Could still do with finding a good place some where more local to Rotherham or Sheffield. :-/
-
Yes it is worth noting good geometry places.
Although WIM are indeed very good, there are people all over the country that really don't need to travel that far, if there are centres local to them that can produce the required results :y

Was due to get mine done today at WIM.
Tony called yesterday apologetic that his system is down after a software upgrade. (Sounds familiar - not just MS then... ;D)
So, a reschedule required. Will keep you posted.

I have added a new type of marker in purple to denote "Alignment Centres" and then added the above 5 sites to the map. i have changed W.I.M. to a purple marker too.
Did you know? If you click on the marker type on the legend at the bottom left of the map it removes that type of marker from the map termporarily. This is handy if you want to remove all the members' markers to see the remaining "meeting points" and "Alignment Centres"

Richard,
What colour are your front MV6 seats? Are they black or dark grey? Have you got a closer pic?

We were discussing this a the last meet, They seem to be classed as Dark Grey (Matt not Glossy) :y
I'll try and post a closer pic later

Cool, they look really good. I see the buttons on the side; are they electrically adjustable or do you have to adjust them with physical effort? I also see the black metal bar on the bottom at the front, so I understand that fore and aft is manual, I'm asking more about tilt and up / down.
I was once told on here by another member that "I would have more hope of pulling my foreskin over my head to keep my ears warm then find grey leather sports seats".
I knew that he was talking 'dangle berries'. :y ;D

LOL
Yes the button electrically adjusts the height (and tilt) everything else is manual.
So these seats are pretty rare then?
-
Rare! According to the member they were never made!
I've seen a fair few around in Tescos car park etc., but he wasn't having it in the slightest. There's no telling some peole.
-
Hehe, Well now you have proof!! :y

:y
Off to work now. Thanks for the post of the pics!

No Probs!! :y

Phoned CHEMIX from MDTM'S West Mids link as there is one very close to us.., max £80 for standard omega geometry (from £27.50 for two front wheels, price depends obviously on how many wheels need adjusting) so well worth looking at. lol my fancy T reg Omega has upgraded suspension so not sure if that will add to cost until take it in.
Have u used these people Mark.., would they be as good as the reports I hear about WIM?
-
I have regular dealings with the Halesowen branch of Chemix, tyre guys are great, zaust guys not so great, manager a complete to$$er. Not had a full alignment done there but will do once I've sorted out my cam covers and serviced the car. I'll report back afterwards :y

Nigel Langs is now on the map. :y

Just a note to say that WIM is back up and running. Will call in tomorrow - hopefully I can get a slot for Friday.
-
Just to let you know that I got "WIMmed" today.
I already had loads of toe dialled out locally, but the front camber, front toe and rear left toe were all set to Tony's specs.
What a difference! Turn in is now sharp and the understeer had gone. It tracks as straight as an arrow on the motorway. And hopefully it will give me decent tyre wear too.
My thanks to Tony and the crew.
