YEP I MISSED IT !!
so sending off for the d1 form to get them remove, and hopefully get a credit card style one as my paper licence is on its last legs (1983).
although i was worried about the points, several insurance companies told me just 3 points don't make much difference as nearly everyone's got them !!!!! :D

just to check , when you say expired do you mean after 3 or 4 years, as points count for 3 years but can only be removed after 4 years

Doesn't it cost like £15 or whatever the DVLA want to rip you off with just to issue a 'clean' piece of paper??
I've not bothered having them taken off it when they expired, so my licence is somewhat interesting to look at ;D

ive got to the forth year- got flashed in oct 2004. 51 in a 40. >:(

mine expired about a year ago, but to get another new paper bit, with no points on costs £15 >:(
I did not bother, cause the DVLA system reports no points, just that paper bit which lists it now.

My 4 years was up September 2007. Still haven't got round to sending old paper licence off yet!

Don't want to lose my paper licence til I am 60 -- then I won't have to pay for a renewal !!!!

The alternative is to hang onto it until you next move....a change of address is free and they take the expired points off at the same time.
Not that I've done it that way of course :-X

And the standard question from the insurance companies?
"Any points or convictions in the last FIVE years?"
Money grabbing b*stards - should be 4 years...
