Driving home tonight, waiting to pull out of a side turning onto an A road & a group of about 8 kids aged between 12 & 15 cross the road behind me when one of them decides to kick the rear wing & walks off laughing. When i caught up with them the kid is about 12 & has a big attitude problem, starts effing & blinding so i grab him by the scruff of the neck & tell him how much i would like to run him over, only then do i realise after his mates start spitting & joining in, i think whatever i do i will be in the wrong so let him go. So what would you do in these circumstances & more to the point what can you do (legally)
your thoughts?

run the tinkers over :y
-
Take a step back so he thinks your backing off, then deck the little git.
Let him try and prove it later.
-
legally not much can be done..
But generally if somebody touch my car I go insane and really cant control myself.. >:(
I'm sure very bad things could happen if I was there.. :(
-
You might feel like sh*t now for backing down but you did the right thing. The forum generally responds with a "hang em high" response in these situations...
But imagine how much worse you would feel right now if you were sitting in a cell having been charged with ABH on a 12 year old? No court is going to see it from your point of view - even if he has a list of ASBOs as long as your arm.
The system is wrong - I would have expected (and accepted) a clip round the ear for that when I was 12... But that's not the way it is anymore.
Well handled Razzo :y

Run the little bast**d over.
-
Name, address....and take a picture with your phone.....then straight down the cop shop!
-
Pic isnt viable :( My dad saw some kids vandalising a church roof near us and the cops told him he cant take photos under the child protection act...
This country's laws make me want to puke sometimes.
-
Respect receives respect. Attitude receives attitude, give him a bit of fist & any of the others if they deserve it. They're all hard when together, but get them alone & they'll sh£t them selves.

age 12..advice in family..advice in boy and bye bye..
-
Its too true that we want to knock 7 bells outa anybody who harms our property or family....But you showed restraint which is a very good thing as i agree with bandit it would of gone south all too quickly next time just leave it in gear and roll forward or back they wont be too quick in doing next time they get nudged....
-
remember the little sh1ts face, buy a balaclava and next time you see him on his own late at night -smack him one !!! :y
-
Good call... You'd have ended up spending the night in a cell if you'd responded with the reaction they were trying to get!
Really grips my sh!t that the little tinkers know they can get away with what they like >:( >:( >:(
-
you do as much physical damage as you possibly can to him, biting his ear to make certain he stays conscious to suffer properly, you then tell the others they get away from you or they die
-
I agree what you did is the right thing to have done..... and showed alot of balls doing so, although i do understand that you would have liked to have hurt him....
Sounds like one of these fools that slowly walk across the road almost goading you to run them over >:(
-
Damned if you do & damned if you don't. You did the right thing by showing restraint & not biting. I don't blame you for wanting to batter the little b*****d. You could've been stabbed or arrested & charged with something ridiculous. In a good mood i'd let it ride, in a bad mood the mist rises quickly & reason goes out the window.
Ironically on a lesser note, i stopped at the local shop on way home today & held the door open for 4 teenage girls who were on thier way out. Not one said thanks. Not thier fault if they've been brought up with no manners.
Sign of the times i guess. ::) :(

drop the little bastard he wont be so hard with blood pouring from his nose and his mates will have crapped it and bolted.
" touch my car i smash your face "
seems pretty simple to me man
sorry but i spend too much time on my car to have some future junkie scumbag decide to put a size 8 footprint on my car so i would without doubt have decked him
they cant prove you touched him he fell

Citizens arrest, restraint arm lock, and pray the little sh*t resists ::)

Totally sucks :-X...few years ago driving down the dual carriageway in Lewisham stone hit windscreen and shattered (the day before I was going to drive up to scotland >:(), luckily no cars behind me, slammed on brakes, got out car seen the little tinkers over the other side of carriageway, jump over central reserve ran over chased the litle tinker and caught him :y, draged him back to the central reserve, held him down on that with my knee in his back and proceeded to call the police. They arrived soon after, gave statement arrested the kid, and after having to pay £200 bucks, for a new windscreen, got a letter from cops saying sorry you been victim of crime and they did no catch the culprit so to speak >:(
Unfortunately, I think I scared the living daylights out of the kid, because of what I said to him, he was throwing stones over the dual carriageway at another group of kids >:(

if there were witnesses around (other than his mates) then you did the right thing. As much as we love our cars is it worth a criminal record for some loser 12 year old, cos you can bet his parents would have been the type (you know what i mean) to kik up all sorts of agro.
If there were no witnesses, i would stick him in the motor and take him to a field or forest, give the wheel nut remover and tell him to start digging. A few digs to encourage him, then after a while, some threwatining words and leave him. Take the tyure iron and theres little to be proved.
It worked a treat on some gypo who tried to nick my bike.
-
Remind him of the Monkey in God Almighty and can he be sure that you haven't taken over whilst God is on holiday ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D then stick something hard up his jaksey, like your boot :y :y :y

Someone I know of has had a lot of trouble in the past, BTW haven't seen them in years, don't even know their surname.
A road rage - he was attacked - found the blokes home and paint strippered the car, then did it a few weeks later AFTER the respray.
Got beaten up by a gang, assisted by an ex con mate, proceeded to hospitalise the entire gang over a year or so.
-
You did the right thing as others have said its not worth the criminal record!
A few years ago a lad of a similar age walked accross the road in front of my car, i slammed on and lent on my horn. He just walked round the side of the car, swung his bag and smashed the mirror clean off!
Swung round, maglite at the ready to give chase but lost him down an alley way!
Good job i was 8 months pregnant and couldnt catch him or i dont think i could have been responsible for my actions!
Kids round here are starting to learn that i don't brake for idiots!
Why aren't kids taught road safety and respect for the ton of metal which just happens to be someone elses property! >:(

There are no consequences for kids these days. They have been brought up to look after no. 1 and do as they please with no respect for anyone. I say we need to bring back the cane, the clip round the ear and the borstals. Never did anyone any harm. We're in for a really testing time when these cretins reach adulthood.

National service gets my vote!
Teach them some self respect and some pride in their country!

Reading some of the replies, I have to agree that the little sh1t deserved something bad happening to him, but because of the absurd laws in this country, you would have been the one in the wrong. >:(
In that kind of situation it's a really difficult call you have to make in a few seconds and you did the correct thing in the eyes of the law. Unfortunately the police aren't interested in "petty" crime these days and youngsters are too well protected by the law even if the police were able to nick them.
It really is a sad situation created by the PC orientated so called government. >:(

i got a call to put grills over shop window cos of "those lovely little darlings" repeatedly smashing them on way to/from school.Guy told me he had taken fotos(he was a professional photographer) of them in the act and went round to school.30 mins later the police at his door remeinding of the illegality of takin fotos of children.WTF >:(

Police complaints authority - do not be afraid of calling them >:(

Under the circumstances you did the right thing. It's not worth getting yourself into further trouble for those sh*ts.
