You can buy them in Tesco and Morrisons, so I guess they are available elsewhere....... :y  Think they are tightening up on who they sell them too, not like the old days when Bangers were freely available :-X

With the amount going off around here last night, it may as well have been Bonfire Night.
They should ban them & if you wana see them, then go to an organized event. Just my oppinion

Down this way, not only are they available, but Tesco are doing 'buy one get one free'....clearly the managers don't live in the area.....

yes, the bit on the left, the darkside.......PMSL

No Seriously, I have not heard a single firwork going off.  Which is why I wondered if they had been banned from selling them.

IMHO ALL fireworks should be sold under license to professionals only! Joe Public should not be able to buy what is really an explosive over the counter. If you want to see fireworks go to an organised event run by licensed professional company with the correct insurances.  >:(

Not sure if anyone noticed but I'm not a fan of them  :D

Blimey, they must be old days of looooooonnnnnnnnngggg ago!! :o :o :o

Certainly since I joined the retail trade in 1965 I can always remember that a Firework Licence had to be held to sell any fireworks, along with a Tobacco Licence to sell tobacco product, a Milk Licence to sell milk, an Ice Cream Licence to sell ice cream.......etc, etc. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;)

i would ban them being sold to the public, too dangerous for kids, profesionally trained licence holders only i say

I agree, partly because I know what I used to do. Thing is we were just bloody daft, some kids now are malicious if not violent and do use fireworks to hurt people.
Profesional displays only, in my opinion. Stockton Council do an excellent one on the riverside and all free. :y

Been on sale in Morrisons etc. round here for a week or two. Been very quiet round here this year though, heard the odd one or two but not half as many as in previous years. Is it due to the credit crunch?
