Well i dont come in here often (work and all) so hi.
I got 2.2 53reg Omega estate and love it,mostly because i am very tall with 36" inside leg and need the estate for work stuff,so getting a car to fit is always quite hard.
But,my daughter has just bought a Mini 55reg (mini one) agonisingly expensive (8.25k)but looks like thats what you have to pay and they hold there price well.Point is its got more leg room than my mig ? Admittedly the passenger behind would have to have flat legs.So i am now seriously looking to get one for fun at the weekends, what do ya recon ?

you wont drive it enough because of how much you love your mig!!
-
It's not a real Mini..... :-X

Probably right, not sure i'd want to go on long journeys with it as very hard suspension, but great fun and i think the cooper s would probably shift a bit.

Smaller cars generally provide legroom by sitting you up higher in the car than you might do in cars such as the Omega ..... I know a Mini One isn't exactly small. :y :y

Indeed, though i found the sitting position very comfortable with the seat set about the same height as my mig.
Mike is right they are not 'real' minis as in 'Italian job' but the prices i have seen suggest they are developing their own cult status.
Gonna seriously think about one for the misses, but as she works within walking distance down the road,it means most of the time it will be mine [smiley=happy.gif] got a lot of saving to do first though. :(

Yes, I think that is true... :)

they have their own magazine can't remember the name of it( Modern Mini )?????? The classic mini mags tried to integrate them but the readership weren't that keen iirc

We've got a real mini! It's a 1993 cooper s with a Rover approved 1380 bored engine and it was lovely... Trouble is it hasn't moved for 6 years and is awaiting some real TLC. Just recently read an article that they're worth in excess of £3k for an ok one... This will be mint when I get chance to do it :y :y :y

get her a bike ;D

Saw a German Mini parked next to a British Mini the other week....it was huge...not really mini sized at all. :y
