Title: 160 quid plus vat for aset of alloys

hi all well iv been thinking about getting a set of omega alloys for my car as mine has the boring old steels one.So i popped done to my local breakers that has an omega in for breaking so i asked how much and they wanted 160 plus vat for them and thats without the tyres :o.So i told them where to stick it as i can pick up a set of brand new alloys with tyres for a few quid more.so do u think thats right or are they having a piss take

You can get a set of 17" MV6 alloys for about that off Ebay, they might need refurbishment though.

£160 +vat!! :o Sounds way over the top. As Pete said, have a gander on fleabay.

you can have my 16" elite alloys for £160+vat and i'll go and get me some nice ones instead ;)

i'd want to see what the car was like that they came off if i was buying from a breakers

ebay's your best bet for cheap alloys with tyres, facelift elite ones can go for £200ish on there, which is £12 more than your price!

A have some reasonable 16" elite wheels here, not sure what worth, but monies will go to OOF coffers...
