Not been about this week too much tyring to get my work completed for the month by today, its been a sweat and i`ve made it.
Afraid in my role if i dont do it nobody else does :(
I`ve just switched on my out of office and not back till 4th January 2007 ::) :y
Got an all expenses away day / lunch tomorrow
Then on Friday all day session with the boss ( noooo its a male and i mean in the Pub)
So who`s next to go on crimbo hollybags or has anyone else already finished?

Friday finish for me. But, being part time worker, part time house husband, I get to do all the cooking! Hurray!!! :(

Yeah not too bad, actually this is first job I've had that I don't have to work right through.

Finish up Friday, back next Wednesday for 3 days then take 2nd of Jan off as english don't have it off same as scots, then back to work. Officially only 3 days off over crimbo period unless book leave. never worked 2nd Jan in my life and aint gonna start now, religion as you know it :) ;D

I went to the consultants do last night in london, and had a good laugh, since it was their do, and I had been e-mailing them all day about a court case today, bla bla bla. As the cliet manger walked in I collared her, b4 she could say why she got held up...coz of me, their bestest client ;D ;D ;D

Finish Friday lunchtime, back in 28th/29th then off until 3rd Jan. Then have 8th/9th Jan off as I'm going to Barnstaple for long weekend to deliver more Christmas pressies to youngest son, ex missus and ma-in-law who moved down there a couple of weeks ago, also son's 19th birthday on 7th.
Trouble is this is busiest time of year for me. As finance/admin manager, I've got to squeeze in end of year stock taking and produce end of year accounts as well as continue with day to day stuff - DOH!!! :(

I won't finish up until tomorrow, although a few of the guys have a pub lunch planned so I don't see the afternoon being particularly productive :D
Don't go back until the 8th January, and I expect I'll be needing that week after new year to recover my senses.... it's gonna be a good'un :D :D
Got two big party nights planned for Friday & Saturday this weekend, then of course Sunday is Christmas eve which is an obligatory party, as is Christmas night! My liver is going to hate me for the next few weeks ;)

Ive just had a pleasant suprise.
I have just been into the office of the company I have been doing work for over the last couple of weeks to drop the last of the paper work off and they have asked me to do some more after Christmas. They have a load of work for me in the Western Isles :o. Still beggars can't be choosers ;D

wow its cold up there!!! which one? cos one some you cant do ANYTHING on a Sunday - even get petrol, a drinkl or hang out the washing!!

im on call 23,24,25,26,30,31 dec so if a customer of mine try not to call me out too much!

Better news for me, went in tonight & was asked if I can cover for someone tomorrow, so left early & I'm in 12PM til 8, beats doing a night shift! :y

I will be surveying the public buildings so all the Islands with public buildings. I dont know how im going to get between the Islands though. No pubs on a Sunday :o ;D

When ive been there, never had a problem getting a drink either!

Im sure I will, when I work away I always try to get home at the weekends but this is a bit to far so wont see the wife for a few weeks :( (got to look sad shes at home today) ;D

Never mind no pubs - more like no booze and no shops at all on Isle of Lewis - and i do mean that! One shop recently tried to open on Sunday and was forced to close within 3 weeks.
they go to church 4 times on a Sunday and the real traditionalists even make Sundays tea on Saturday as its "illegal" to cook.
Its an experience (my parents retired up there but regularly flaunt the law by having parties on Sundays) :o

Well it got even better for me, should have been on nights tonight, went in at 12 to cover someone & when I got there my boss said "Just do what really needs doing & clear off". Didn't need telling twice! Got my head down & finished at 3.45, home now having 1st [smiley=beer.gif] :)

Well I'm officially finished but I'm going in in the morning cos they made us an offer I can't refuse.
9hrs pay at time and a half and I should be done in about 4 ;D.
So if you get someone knocking on your door about 7ish tomorrow hurry up coz it could be me with your urgent xmas deliveries.

I'm basically finished for Xmas, but with time off you get all the small jobs, like fixing the daughter's gutters. Just spent £70 at B & Q for downpipe, shame they don't take TC ;D ;D

Well thats me done at work till Jan 9th.
As for little jobs I've just had to change the screen on the apprentice's pda so a quick trip to the offie for my booze and thats me sorted ;D ;D
